AK Anne Klein Women's Clemence LE Pump

I bought these shoes to be my conservative job interview shoes. The heel is modest and I thought they would be comfortable for more than an hour. I was wrong unfortunately. The sizing is a little strange for these shoes. I am a 9-9.5 in shoes. The 9 in these was too small and kept slipping off my heels when I walked. I tried on the 8.5 and they fit better, but they felt just a tad tight. I figured I would break them in and they would be fine. Unfortunately there is no breaking in to be done. I have worn them at least 6 times now for interviews, job fairs, and a funeral. They are still a tad tight and very uncomfortable. I am not just a whiner either. These are one of the lowest pairs of heels I own and these kill my feet more than most of my taller heels do. I can only wear them 2 hours tops before I am walking like a wounded gazelle on the Serengeti.Another note: the heel is patent leather. I compromised on these shoes knowing that. The more I look at the heel the more I hate it. It looks so cheap and shiny compared to the sophisticated matte leather on the rest of the shoe. I don't know why AK decided to cheap out on this detail. The heel shows more scuffs and wear because it is patent.

Well, the pump fit me just fine, so I was happy with that. Unfortunately, I was looking for a classic round-toe basic black pump and was impressed by the reviews on this pump. I don't know if I missed it somewhere in the description, but the pump has a heel with a shiny finish ("patent leather" a la plastic). I felt cheated when I saw this upon opening the box! I wanted a leather shoe, not a half-leather shoe where they cut corners with a really lame looking and mismatched heel. I realize if I'd seen it in the store first, it wouldn't have been a problem, and I would've skipped it altogether.If you are comparing, you might try the Naturalizer Lennox which is all leather and also has a nice finished stitching all along the vamp. I got that instead.

I've learned that AK pumps run a half-size large for me, so I sized down to a 7.5 for these. They're a great pump with a modest, stable heel and a sleek almond toe. I like how the bottom isn't completely smooth so I don't have to worry about faceplanting in the middle of a hallway. The footbed is lightly padded, so my heel-hating self can stand & walk in them for hours without complaint. I'll definitely be buying these again, maybe in different colors.

I love these shoes and the only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars it's because it is a bit large although I have always been a 6 1/2. Otherwise they are the most comfortable shoes ever. I do love this brand because they not only strive to make a good looking pair of shoes, but they are as comfortable as any shoe can ever be.

These are simply fantastic. The quality is great and the rubber sole means you have safe footing, not matter what surface you are on. The heel is tall enough to be attractive and not veer into old lady shoes, but jsut thick enough to be stable and comfortable for all day wear.I bought these to replace much more expensive Clark's heel/wedges I bought for running around convention center concrete floors. The Clark's always make my feet and legs hurt and they looked like comfort shoes. These lovelies look like normal heels and are much more comfortable than those pricey Clark's. You won't regret a single thing about these shoes.

i always wear a 8 1/2 and bought this size but it was large should have bought an 8 now i have this shoes sitting down not wearing nothing seems to work to make it fit :(

I love this pump - it's the first pump I have been able to wear all day at work without limping to my car at closing time. The heel is just high enough to be a little sexy but without sacrificing comfort. I recommend this pump to all the ladies out there who have been searching for something that won't destroy their feet.

I ordered size 5.5 and I could put 1.5 index fingers between the heel and back of the shoe.There was a delivery problem and a second pair arrived with the same exact LARGE fit.
