Workbook for Norsk, nordmenn og Norge 1: Beginning Norwegian

Worst textbook ever. No English translations, no grammar and no explanations. Do not buy. Absolutely worthless. Might work if you had a teacher but not for self study.

love this book. I paired it with the textbook, and I have already learned so much! would 10/10 recommend to any beginner who wants to learn a little Norwegian

I'd been checking out the range of "Learn Norwegian" books that were offered here on Amazon, and I was glad to have finally chosen this one. Having no prior experience with the language, I found that this book (along with the textbook of the same series, this is just a supplement) work really well for me! I plan on buying the Intermediate level as well when I've finished with this one. Afterward, I'll just hope that Rosetta Stone adds a Norwegian program!

It's helping us with grammar and picking up more vocabulary. We like also the cassettes that go with them (purchased separate if you can find them- we found those in a book store) to help with pronunciation.

Beginner's Norwegian workbook is a must-have for those with the textbook, just learning or rehashing the language. Goes beyond what is in the text to augment the learning process and help it "sink in."

The books seems good, but it's difficult to do the listening parts because there are no tapes to listen to unless you have the teacher's guide. It has exercises based on the other book and that's great. So far it's good for written form

this set of book/work book does not have any instructions in english, nor explanations. It assumes you have a full time teacher to speak out loud, and show you the grammar rules or whatever is in the lesson, it's not even written in Norsk! I am a graduate student currently, and find this book set a good example of what not to do in writing a textbook.
