Not golds gym brand
This flooring does the job for a home gym but as you can see from the picture its not actually golds gym flooring. I bought golds gym at Walmart last year before they stopped selling it. When I decided to expand my workout area a few weeks ago i searched everywhere for golds gym brand but couldn't find it! I tried some other brands but they wouldnt match up. So i paid a little more and got this since it was "golds gym" brand it would surely fit. Wrong! It has slight gaps so its not nearly as tight as it needs to be. The texture is also different its not smooth like the actual golds gym. For a new installed gym floor this is ok but dont add it to another floor if you have golds unless youre ok with it not completely matching up and having gaps. HIIT and cardio videos will surely cause it to separate even more.

I just got it and I'm still waiting for my exercise bike but I already can't wait toTry a different brand. As soon as I got it I could smell it through the package. I opened it and the of course the smell was worse.I thought ok it will have time to air out. But while setting it up my nose started to run, my hand got itchy. I don't know what it is but I have a feeling there's something I'm reacting to. Or it could have just been sweeping up before that but it shouldn't have. Either way it smells aweful.Besides that issue, it didn't puzzle perfectly with one side but this is my first mat.I tested one piece to figure which side was less slippery and that's the flat side. For now I'm not very impressed and I'll be looking into something not so smelly.

Once aired out, it's a great gym mat
This is a good, typical puzzle gym mat. The puzzle edges are cut cleanly and fit together well. It also comes with edging that allows you to use just a few pieces of the mat -- or expand on it -- while keeping a clean edge all the way around the mat.So far I have had no issues with the pieces coming apart under lateral stress, the mat is useful for plyometrics or for protecting your floor from dropped weights. It feels like it would be sturdy enough to place underneath a treadmill or elliptical, but I'm only using mine under an incline bench so I can only comment on its durability for that use.One thing you will definitely want to do if you purchase this item is open it outdoors where it can air out for a few hours. And I wouldn't recommend breathing the fumes that come of this thing either. It smells like a mix of industrial paint thinner and jet fuel. Mine sat outside in the breeze for 2 hours and it was ok after that. You may want to spray a scented soapy mixture on yours as well if you have a sensitive nose.

Not bad but
That other big box store with the horrible employee relations and most interesting circus of human customers has this for ⅓ of the price. Got mine there - usually I'll suck up the few extra bucks to get something from Amazon (saves me time, gas and good cost sec) but not at 3x the cost.

Great, low-cost workout floor
I needed something to workout on - my garage floor is so smooth that I would slip a little, plus my garage is also my workstation (wood crafts, building shelves, etc) so I wanted protection from the floor so I didn't get dirty. I like Gold's Gym products and the low cost of this. I used a hot glue gun to add lines (or designs) to the bottom and made these non-slip. The kids and husband helped test them - these mats are not moving now. :)

Picked up six 6 packs of these at Walmart for $14 a pack...what a steal!! I laid these wall to wall for the base of my daughters playroom, then scattered plush rugs all throughout. Cannot go wrong with these at that price. I got 36 tiles for $90.
