My husband and I have just started using air dry clay and needed a good assortment of tools.This handy selection in its own carry case us perfect for keeping things tidy.The sculpting tools are good quality.I think they'll last us a while.Would recommend to anyone looking to try out sculpting. A lot of fun.

Received as promised and exactly as pictured. If you are a pro or student, these are NOT it. I have been using these types of tools for 45+yrs and must say these are not worth the money. Not one is sharp (pls refer to pressure applied in photo) and no cut? These make very CRUDE MARKINGS and required several cuts just to score cardstock. For an 8yr old starting art these are wonderful. For someone who expects a cut with one line save your money and spend a little more. These will cut butter but the quality is not there. They will not hold up to any pressure and dull blades will not cut more than butter. I would not recommend for more than a child just starting their new love of art. That being said there is a market for these just not for an adult. I am very disappointed with the fact I gave money for a product and NOT ONE sharp blade? CRUDE at best.

At first I was a bit skeptical, since it doesn't look like it is sturdy, and I had a debate with myself to either buy these or stainless steel tools. I chose to buy these, which is a queer choice, but I don't regret it. The items are very sturdy and I have used them for carving clay, when unbaked. I carved Tolkien's initials because I am making a seal stamp. These tools were used wonderfully to my aid, and the tools look old fashioned, so it's more of my style. I don't see them breaking, and there are many options to choose from. The tools are inside a very sturdy packet, which I would advise to keep, and the sharp tools have a plastic case over them.

I bought this to use with sculpting clay and various other sculpting products. I am very pleased with this set of tools and cannot wait to explore all the possibilities that I can create with this set. The set includes a variety of pieces for shaping, texturing and making unique lines on your work. I love that the pieces are double sided so you don't only get 11 tools you actually have more than that because each side has a different tool. The quality is great, the handles are smooth and comfortable and the blades are sturdy enough that if you do have to use any pressure they will not break.

I chose this set because of the price, since I was letting my children use them to sculpt Plaster of Paris. There is a wonderful variety of tools, but these are not super-sturdy (to be expected, since they're rather inexpensive). With a little firm pressure, the tips of the tools will bend where they meet the wood. They are sharp, and did the job they were intended to do, but I would not recommend them to someone who is planning to do any serious art work. They are packed in a clear plastic reusable pocket for convenient storage.

Very poor quality. Applied very little pressure to bisque ceramics and the tools bent or fell off.

These were so great for what I paid for them. I recently started to dabble in candle making but its a flare, and these were perfect for what I was trying to do. I worked with tools like this when i worked with clay in high school and thought they would e perfect, but didn't know if they would work for candle wax. They absolutely do!! And were way cheaper than I thought they would be, but the quality is still there. The only thing I wish this set included was a circular carving hook instead of the hook pictured, but aside from just a personal preference, I love this set!

I got these tools to use with polymer clay. They are probably not the best choice for making miniatures since they were designed for larger scale projects using heavier sculpting clays, but even so, they are high quality tools and I find myself using the needle tools every time I work with polymer clay. The other tools not so much for my needs. I like the fact that they have protective plastic tops on the ends so you aren't constantly stabbing yourself with or damaging the end you aren't intending to use at the time, however the plastic caps are very cheaply made and do not stay on well. Overall I think these tools would be great for a sculptor and I am pleased even if I only use a few of them.
