One thing to note is that they work best in looser shoes or at home; in tighter dress shoes, the extra width might feel bulky. Have issues resulting from an auto accident that crushed my foot. There was not enough bone to operate so had to heal in a cast. Now arthritis has caused problems and I have used other products to relieve the pain that have not lasted and didn't work very well. These gel separators are quite sturdy and help even though are too large for me to wear with my shoes. My problem doesn't involve the big toe but the little toe up. They give me relief and I am confident they will last much better than previous ones.

Finally, toe spacers that come in different sizes and that actually space mens toes. I've had trouble finding toe spacers that are thick enough to do anything but fall out and get bunched up in my socks. I've tried inexpensive brands at big-box stores and found that many brands save money by using so little material they do nothing. When I searched for "mens" toe spacers, I just got unisex brands that were made for small feet or just made badly and advertised as for men and for women. These are firmer than the gel inserts I've used before and take just a bit of getting used to. I find them firm but comfortable. They do not move around in my socks or shoes because they are large enough. I have a man's size 11 foot, and Medium worked for me. Anything larger would have been much too much. I'd think large would be for people with a very large space to fill or people who want a large amount of correction, whatever your foot size. My initial gel toe spacers were from an orthopedic surgeon, who gave these to me after surgery for hallux rigidus (not bunions). These were thinner in the middle than the top and bottom, but provided real separation. Every pair of gel inserts I've bought on Amazon or in big retailers since has been very thin between the toes, done nothing to support my feet, and just moved around in my socks because they were too thin.

Item is too wide and does not stay in place without taping

I've bought these cheaply at my local discount department store's pharmacy area for years, but I can't find it anymore. The closest that I can find has an attached loop of the same material that goes around a toe which I wasn't sure would be comfortable for all-day wearing. When I checked Amazon, this was the closest in detail & quality that I found, but for my use, unfortunately even the size small was too wide for my women's size 7 foot. I wear them all-day every day & while jogging 3 days a week, and maybe my bunion isn't extremely big so that I don't require the extreme separation that this company's product provides. Everyone has different needs, so it may work wonderfully for someone else.

I wear a size 5.5/6 shoe, so I assumed I would need the small size spacers. I have one foot with a pretty decent bunion and the other is just starting. These worked fine for the foot without a substantial problem, but they were much too small for the foot with the main problem. They did space the toes out, but they were too small to straighten out the big toe enough to alleviate the problem and the pain. This is not the fault of the item, just the wrong size for me. Luckily, the company is amazing and instantly refunded my money when I contacted them. I would suggest that, instead of thinking about what your shoe/foot size is, you consider how bad your bunion is/how much you need to straighten out your toe. After several failed purchase attempts at finding a proper bunion spacer, I just purchased the Dr. Frederick's 14-piece bunion kit. I would HIGHLY suggest this if you don't know where to start. It even has all 3 of this type of spacer so you know which will work the best (the large size appears to probably be what I need.) I wish I had purchased that kit first. I have found several items in it that work for both feet. To give you an idea, I wanted something to wear just for every day use, but I also hike/jog a little over 5 miles 5 days a week. I really needed something to combat the pain during exercise and it appears that I have found the options I need for both daily/exercise in the 14-piece kit. Regardless, keep in mind, the company stands behind their products, so if it doesn't work, don't hesitate to contact them.

Liked the comfort from using them. Had one toe rubbing on the next one to it and was uncomfortable when walking. Only been using for a short while , but is already making a difference.
