Midea MRU03M2ABB Upright Freezer Large Black, 3.0 Cubic Feet

We wanted to buy a freezer to be able to freeze and store more food than we could store in our refrigerator freezer in our kitchen. I was opposed to a chest freezer because I didn’t like the idea of bending over and digging through items stacked on top of each other. A full sized freezer wasn’t really an option either because we really didn’t have the space. This freezer wasn’t the perfect solution. It’s big enough for our needs and the perfect size for the space we had to put it. It works fine and is quiet. We’re very pleased with it.

So far so good. The freezer turned out to be a tad smaller but it is enough for our immediate needs. It started beautifully. It is not noisy at all. Everything is frozen solid. We will see how it continues to work. Kudos to the Amazon truck drivers. They were careful and very courteous. No dents at all.

I finally bit the bullet, removed my old dishwasher that died from disuse, and replaced it with this Midea freezer! It's so nice to have extra freezer space. The freezer arrived well packaged and in great shape. It was light enough for me to move it into place by myself. I set the desired temperature (knob on the back), plugged it in, and it was ready to go! It has 2 shelves and a wire basket at the bottom. It holds more than half of what my fridge freezer holds, so really quite a bit. It runs quietly and keeps everything nice and frozen. I don't have the recommended 4 inches of space around all sides, but I've put my hand behind the freezer several times and it's not getting hot at all. So far, I love it!

Freezer arrived with a dented top back corner. UPS said it probably rolled on the belts that sort the packages. The white foam was all cracked in the box, evidence that it probably did roll around. Waited 48 hours after delivery to plug it in, it was on its back in the UPS truck when delivered. I have it set on #4, it is zero degrees inside. When empty you could really hear the door suck shut, with it full you can't hear it but it definitely sucks the door shut making it easy to pull the freezer across the floor when you try to open it. It runs quiet and got cold fast. I am happy with my purchase, price was good, space in the freezer is good. Perfect for smaller spaces where a full size freezer will not fit.According the UPS driver, packages, heavy ones especially, will roll around on the sorting belts and smash into other packages. This is how items get damaged. If companies would pack the product better, add thicker padding on all sides including the top and bottom, there would be less damage to the items.That being said, this freezer was packaged well. Thicker padding would have probably prevented the dented top corner but that was the only damage incurred during transport. The bottom seemed better protected than the top. The side foam all cracked but it kept the sides from becoming damaged.

It's been 3 months so far, and it's been a great little freezer. We bought it to handle overflow from the big fridge when we buy in bulk, run into good sales, etc.....Delivery was great. I was really scared that they'd just drop it off the back, etc...., but they brought it covered, on a hand dolly, all belted in. No damage to the box, and more importantly, no damage to the fridge.The color is a standard black and streamlined in design. It simply looks like a midsized box or a modern cabinet a bit. The size is perfect, big enough to handle a multiple ice cream cartons, a few big flats of chicken, beef, ribs, etc... Also a couple of bags/boxes of fries, frozen vegetables, etc...I'm 6' tall, and it's about waist high, I put it on a little platform so it would be easier to reach the bottom basket/shelf. Noise isn't bad, just a little hum sometimes, not enough to be distracting. Cooling is ok, my fridge's freezer seems to get a little colder, but I haven't noticed anything bad like melting ice cream, etc.... It's freezing things well.It has a little turn lock at the bottom, it works, but I never use it. It's in an annoying spot, and I just don't have a need. It's not a standard key, but a hex type. You could probably use a standard hex key to get in if you ever lost the real one.Will update if anything bad happens.:).

so far so good. Use it to store fresh dogfood. It is silent in it's operation and does what it't advertised to do. Very pleased

Lightweight enough that I could drag it inside the house and place it correctly in it's living space.I find the compressor noise to be nearly non existent. It's very quiet and just makes a low hum.I wish there was a small "power on" light. At least I would know it's running and not dead.Packed very well with lots of styrofoam blocks and formed protection pieces.It keeps prefrozen items still frozen after 2 days in mid 70ties interior temps.All is good. Paint job is excellent, adjustable feet and a strong suction of the door gasket when closed.

I finally found a mini freezer that I thought would work out for me in my motorhome. I'm moving in this week. Well, I was moving in this week. It arrived damaged, & leaking.. This mini freezer is being sent back. Who knows how long it will take for me to get another delivered? Meanwhile, I wait...I don't know, but I assume it was damaged during shipping & delivery.I'm going to contact Midea and see if they can expedite one, so I can go ahead and get moved in. Both my mini freezer & my freezerless mini fridge arrived damaged. So frustrating when you have a time limit. I'll post the outcome when I contact them with the results. "Wish me luck."I'll also adjust my rating accordingly.
