Worked great
This tool worked perfectly to remove a spark plug that broke off flush on an engine.

These prevented a head replacement
These. saved. my. a**. Don't ask me how but one of my spark plugs snapped off; you know that feeling of dread when something happens during a project and you're like "oh no, that's going to be expensive". Yeah it was that moment. Like others have said, take your time. Hammer it in, double check you don't puncture the cylinder head. Take your time, slow consistent torque is the key.

I really like fluted extractors
I have had better results with the straight fluted extractors like these then the spiral fluted designs. I just wish they cam with the next size bigger and were not square. It if were a 6 flute design then you could use a normal socket on them to get more leverage.

Good quality
Needed these for the husband and worked as should.

Not the best quality
The quality of this product could be better. They have worked well for the most part, but they do twist over time

These are one of the best tool investments I have ever made!!!
I bought these because I read some guys online saying they are worth buying for stuck bolts. I was redoing my knock sensors today and the front one was spinning inside itself. I drilled holes in the sensor and it would still not come out. Smacked it with a hammer a few times and it broke lose except it kept spinning. I then pulled on it with needle nose pliers and it snapped off flush with the post. I had a small panic attack. The sensor I was replacing is quite vital and I spent 4 hours trying to get that damn thing out. Then I remembered I bought these fluted extractors. So I drilled a big hole down the post being sure to avoid the threads. Then I took out of these bits and smacked it down into the hole with a 5lbs mallet. Took my adjustable wrench and I applied a good amount of leverage and managed to back the mother effer out of the hole!!! These are probably one of the best tool investments I have ever made.

Perfect for removing stuck casing in engine block.
I have an 8mm broken glow plug casing stuck in the engine block. I used the fluted spiral first without success. The reason: fluted spiral stretches the thin (1mm) casing when gripping thus enlarging and jamming the casing tighter into the engine block. The correct bit size in this set grips the internal of the casing transverse to the thread direction thus providing a torque point without enlarging the casing (at least not as much as the fluted spiral). I was able to remove the broken glow plug. I'd theorize the same behavior for broken spark plugs. If your casing is fused to the engine block (because previous install did not use anti-seize), you may need to use the glow plug drill set to partially destroy the casing at the fused point while creating CCW thread to reverse out the broken part. I did not need to do this as this bit provided sufficient grip to overcome the seizure.
