Heaven Hardcover – October 15, 2015

As with Mulder's previous works, all of which are VERY expensive now once they go out of print, this thing is enormous, 15" tall, 11" wide, and the photos are absolutely spectacular - he is truly one of the best out there at taking candid and brilliantly imaginative photos of gorgeous women. There are color and black-and-white photos in this volume, it is NOT just black-and-white. The majority of the photos are black-and-white, but there is some color, and it is very striking work considering he used film for these (if I understand correctly) and not digital.This one is guaranteed to satisfy, and I'm surprised it's still available at this price - buy it while you can, it won't be long until this will be a $200+ book - when you can find a clean copy. It's just spectacular, and if you're a camera buff or just love studying beautiful women in amazing settings, it just doesn't get any better than this.

Yes, heaven. Outstanding imagery. Outstanding locations, backgrounds, composition. Outstanding physical beauties. What's not to like? If you like nude fine art and glamour photography, this is your book. Images are classic. Nudity is mostly on the milder side with some things still left to the imagination.Highly recommended.

It's not the most breathtaking book of figure photography, but offers a lot to like. The models all seem to be twenty-something, slim anglos - not the only way for a lady to look good, but few other photographers go any farther afield than De Mulder does. Given his fashion-photo background, the variety of lingerie isn't much of a surprise either. For me, though, women's underwear is either about her comfort or it's gift wrap. This doesn't look comfy, and I'm really more interested in the gift than the wrapping. There's a modest bit of synthesexual, staged interest of one lady for another - pretty enough, but I can't see real warmth in it. And De Mulder's personality seems to come through in every image, in its costuming and staging. Again, for me, the model's personality means at least as much, and here seems buried under makeup, 'done' hair, and playtime undies.The collection is put together well, with rich B&W printing on heavy paper, bled to the edge of each page. The models are lovely, if a bit under-used, and the settings convey a rich sense of luxury. I like it, I really do. But the figure photo I remember most vividly centers on the model herself, a woman unique among all unique women, with a name and personality of her own. Outside of the cover photo and a few others, this seems more about who's behind the camera than who's in front of it.-- wiredweird
