Tasty for cats
I think this works great and my picky cat actually eats them! He might even look forward to them. He wouldn't eat the Lysine from the vet that they said he would love (shocker, he didn't) so I thought I would give these a try. The only thing to note is that the treats are so big that I break them into three pieces. That's ok... he thinks he's getting three 'treats'!

They help my boy’s watery eye. Will buy again.
My 1.5 year old boy has had a chronic watery left eye, pretty much since we adopted him at 4 months old. Sometimes it flares up and both eyes will water, especially under stressful times. The vet seems to think it *could* be a chronic herpes. We recently adopted two stray kittens. He loves them now but the first month or so was stressful for him which I believe might have caused his recent flare. If he eats one of these chews a day, it *seems* to boost his immune system enough that his little watery eye calms down. He loves the flavor. He is a solid, strong, 12.5 lb boy and the size of these chews are huge for him. When I put it out for him he has to break it up into 3 pieces with his mouth to finish it. But he gobbles one a day,and it really does seem to help keep that eye calmed down when he eats one every day. My only concern is that if the bag gets left out he would absolutely chew right through the plastic and eat them all. So I have to make sure they’re always put away in the closed cabinet!!

Works, but with a caveat
it works, just my cats don't like it as a snack... I have to crush it into their wet food... they don't mind it there, but to give it alone... GOOD LUCK!!!

Good Product
I have a cat with chronic upper respiratory infection and she is allergic to everything, has a cold more times than she doesn't and it is very hard to find something she will eat. Luckily, she loves this 'treat' and it does seem to help her URI. It doesn't cure it, but I can tell she is getting some relief from her symptoms.

“Soft chews” were like rocks.Amazon or TomLyn issue?
The “soft chews” were hard as a rock. These are large chews and they were so hard I had a difficult time breaking them in half. My fur babies licked at them but they were way too hard to eat. I’m very disappointed. TomLyn’s Lysine powder is good and we used it for a few months before the kitties started refusing all food that I mixed powdered Lysine in. (Kitties also happily ate a more expensive brands gel but started to refuse it after a few months.). I’m not sure if this is a TomLyn issue or an Amazon issue. The bag shows it as a new product with expiration 6/2019. Help fellow cat lovers. Does anyone use a chew that their cats love? I’m getting desperate. For my two feral rescues Lysine has been a miraculous addition to their diet. It’s like night and day for them. Help! (I tried warming the chews up with some water and after 10 seconds they started smoking like crazy. And I’m not sure how efficacious the Lysine is in the chew if I heat it up like that.). Have others had luck with these chews? Do I need to buy the same thing from chewy? Thank you everyone!

Keeps my cat healthy
My cat was sick every winter and the vet wanted run 2g in tests to check for chronic immune problems. We declined and tried lysine. We ordered several brands and this was the only one he liked. 2 a day has kept the vet away for the last 2 years now. They are expensive but far less than the vet.

Great treats besides the corn syrup
As others have said this does have corn syrup which isn't a good ingredient for cats. My kitty has feline herpes, his symptoms are pretty mild, very occasionally he sneezes but he does swallow/lick his lips frequently which my vet said could be from congestion due to the herpes. She said to give him lysine, I tried the powder that you mix in with the food but he wouldn't eat the food. He really likes these treats, and based on other reviewers I was worried they would be too hard but they weren't that hard, maybe they changed the formula. They are a little big so I break them into two or three pieces before feeding them. It really sucks they have corn syrup because if it wasn't for that I would be feeding these treats long term, but I am gonna have to find a different way to give him lysine when I finish off the bag.
