All Alive!
These were great! They all arrived alive and healthy! It was below freezing outside but the heat pack was still warm! Will be ordering again 🦎

Great Product! Highly Recommend.
Great seller for crickets, will buy more from here in the future if needed! They came quickly and all were alive and well, though the sizes ranged quite a bit (pinheads to large). Unfortunately my geckos stopped eating crickets about a week after buying them so I didn't get much use, but these crickets lived FOREVER after buying and all remained healthy until I gave them to someone else who could use them. (Of course you need to feed them something such as cricket quencher and give them egg cartons to chew.) Be aware that this species of cricket is very fast so if you have slow animals like mine you may have to tong feed or squish them a bit before feeding, as my leopard geckos could not seem to catch these on their own, even my most ravenous eater would give up after a while. I would highly suggest these. They smell much less than the ones from Petco, Petsmart, etc., are much more healthy, and you ultimately do not have to worry that these crickets will carry parasites as you do with the ones from the big chain stores mentioned above.

The box was empty.
I have never had a bad experience with Josh's Frogs. But this time was a big disappointment. The package arrived a day earlier than expected. I was glad, as we were expecting colder snowy weather. I noticed that the box was damaged and had been taped. When I opened it...no crickets...only a few dead ones. The container inside the box had split open when the box was damaged. The crickets must have escaped. I would love to be reimbursed or please resend the order.

Great company 👍
OK, so I ordered crickets from a different supplier last time 250 count .500” and most of them were dead on arrival. The ones that were alive, moved very slowly. didn’t jump at all and had a pale coloration to them. I only ordered 72 .500” crickets from these guys thinking I don’t wanna spend all that time picking out dead crickets again, but was pleasantly surprised. There wasn’t a single dead cricket, and these things were jumping around like crazy. I dropped them in my little habitat that I made from a 5 gallon bucket and as soon as they hit the bottom they went straight for the dry cat food. They were literally grabbing onto it and dragging pieces across the bucket! My son and I got a kick out of that, it was hilarious.. I noticed these guys also shipped them with a heating pad. I think this makes a big difference. I also think these guys feed them well too, as ther color was darker. I have been keeping my crickets in the garage and it gets down into the 40s here where I live not too cold but thinking I will keep them indoors now to keep them warmer. Today’s date May 25, updating my review. I have ordered from these guys four times now haven’t received a single dead, cricket, this time the crickets were delivered on the 23rd and I forgot about them in my vehicle and opened the box 3 days later on the 25th and not a single. They were pretty hungry though. You can see them attacking the cat food in the video clip😆🤣😂

Crickets are not dead!
I am feeding 3 toads and the crickets we bought at the pet store were always dead after 3-4 days. Josh's take 2-3 days to arrive and there are 0 dead ones when we run out! It's marginally more expensive than my pet store, but very convenient once I figured out the arrival time and could plan my orders, plus, none are dying (my toads do not eat dead crickets). Game changer for sure! Just switched from 72 to 250 and I'm switching back! 250 comes in a box and my cricket cages are not big enough to handle the material that they were shipped with. Definitely glad I read the other reviews and knew not to try to remove them from the box inside my house! I think all of the outside toads in our neighborhood ate well yesterday! But overall, still the best crickets out there. They are living longer and overall I am saving time from not running to the pet store every 4 days and money due to the number of crickets that are staying alive. Just be careful that if you are buying the higher quantities (250+) that you have large enough cricket cages to handle it and that you open the box outside!

Most were dead, this order and last…
First, let me say that I’ve had 3-4 72 pack shipments of banded crickets delivered from Josh’s ALL alive. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars, however, as you can see, these were mostly dead. I know it’s freezing out in MI and TN so I watched my USPS tracking and got them out of my box within the hour of delivery. These all look dead, but o actually got about 25 live ones out of it. They were up in the carton and a few were just stiff from the cold but started wiggling later so don’t immediately trash them! Let them warm up. My last shipment, I tried the 150 pack (I believe it was) and half of those were dead. There was a big orange or something in the box that I think maybe they got squished under. (Even though it was secured to the side) I hope this was just a couple of bad ones, but I think a partial refund or a coupon for half off would be nice, when this happens. Other than dead crickets, these are the best. The ones at Petco stink and chirp….these, oddly, do not chirp, so a full star for that feature! lol
