This Pool Mate product raises the calcium hardness in pool water. It dissolves easily, rapidly raises the hardness and is very reasonably priced when purchased in the 25 pound size.

Bought this to replace a similar product I used before. Will have a better idea when the chemicals are required. Arrived on time and the price was right

Good product that works like advertised.
This worked. Raises the levels for this chemical like a charm. I would recommend placing in a floating chlorine dispenser with the vents shut down to little or no venting. This way it dissolves while floating around instead of sitting on the bottom, the granules don’t dissolve well once they sink to the bottom. Tested before and after and it raised the PH level just as we needed.

Worked good and did its job
Our pool hadn’t really been taken care of the right way because every time I put something in to adjust it, it never showed any sort of change on the test strips. That was because that is how far off our pool was. Buying in this quantity finally made it possible to see a change when testing. Most important for everyone is to make sure that you first get the PH right! This is just so important and many don’t realize this. The Ph adjustment might make your pool cloudy but that is because of particles that are forced out of suspension when the Ph is adjusted. Maybe have some flocculant handy for once this happens. Get the PH right before adding any other chemicals.

saved me in snow storms this winter. yeah you can use this for sidewalk salt and ice. it worked well and it was ins tock in early feb a true life saver for me.
