They are strong with good clamping action. I used them to do my son's two-strands. Wish they clamped a little tighter and they would be perfect.

This is exactly what I needed in the amount I need. I use clips when doing my daughter's hair. I used to use the much smaller clips which took longer to do her hair because one clip could only hold one single dred lock and the clips were hard to keep up with. Now with the much larger and longer clips when I do her hair, I can hold multiple dred locks and I can get done a lot sooner., which is perfect for the both of us. I don't know why I didn't purchase these a whole lot sooner .
