This is a linear power supply, not a switching power supply. Linear power supplies generate much less electrical noise than switching power supplies. That is important for ham radio operation. This power supply provide 57 amps continuously or 70 intermittently (10 min on and 10 min off). This power supply will power my iCOM 7610, 7100, and 5100 ham radios, all transmitting on full power at the same time. Our County Emergency Operations Center uses the same power supply to power two dual band base stations, and one HF iCOM ham radio base station which our County hams will operate during County/State emergencies.

I've been using these power supplies for years and have never had a problem. I've even bought ones with problems and had all kinds of support from the company getting them back in working order . I got this one to handle a transceiver and two transponders. It works great, even through the long hours of a contest. I recommend them.
