This blower is better than the one that came with the furnace when it was new!
We have a older model newmac furnace. The blower failed and was blowing breaker fuses! Then went to purchase blower from manufacturer and their prices were higher! They said it was because a storage fees. This was actually better than the original one it came from the factory with the furnace. This blower has a rheostat on it, which allows you to adjust the speed. Which is great so you don't have to worry about actually blowing out the fire while trying to start it! Highly recommended!

Replacement for Newmac boiler fan
Price was $200 cheaper than Newmac blower fan. Seems to work just fine. Same power and noise as original. However, the original is hardwired, so I had to cut the power cord off and hardwire this. Not super difficult, but not plug & play.

Old one constant speed-just on/off; this has infinite variable. Probably MUCH better Creosote and unconsumed coals-wise. Old one hard wired ; this is plug in. Will have to buy 4" face plate w/outlet but like this if needs to be changed again. Particularly like Taiwan (ROC) rather than Mainland (PROC) source.

This is my third motor since 2004. First one on Amazon. Should last 7 to 8 years.

Fan motor
After receiving this fan it worked for 24 hrs and then it quit working. Also never came with any paperwork. No invoice or warranty. Wood furnace does not work properly. I have no way of printing off return paperwork so I found a fan locally. Would not recommend this to anyone
