Can this 40 weight soun polyester thread be used for an embroidery machine?

If your embroidery machine is also a sewing machine, then yes, you can use this Mandala Crafts for sewing (not embroidery)......if it's embroidery-only, then no. I have a Viking EPIC & a Designer Diamond that are both embroidery and sewing machines. I've used this Mandala Crafts thread on both of those machines for sewing, in addition to my serger (4-thread serging) and it works great for all three. However, for embroidery thread, I've found the best value to be any of these: Simthread, New Brothread, and ThreadArt....all are sold here on Amazon with wonderful sets of colors (Threadart also has their own web site with a lot of great sales)

Can you use this thread with a regular home machine?

You can order a special cone spool holder that sits behind your regular sewing machine that feeds the thread to it
