Fantasticly effective and affordable massage roller!
The Idson Muscle Roller Stick for Athletes is a simple yet incredibly effective device. How did I not buy one of these sooner? Not only is it great for general muscle stiffness and soreness, but it has been a great tool for for treating my RLS flare-ups. Often when my RLS symptoms are at their worst, deep tissue massage is one of the few things that provide relief, but it is difficult to massage my own legs, especially in the middle of the night when I am exhausted. This roller makes massaging my legs so easy. The rollers have small bumps in them that help place pressure deep into your muslces. The size and weight of the roller is perfect. It is light enough for it to be portable but heavy enough to provide deep massage. I have used on my legs, back and neck, and have been very satisfied with the results. I have two children in gymnastics and they too enjoy rolling the stick on their muscles after a training session. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy to use device for muscle massage. This is a great product and so affordable!

Easy to use, you control pressure, convenient, great for PT and after sports.
I've got restless leg which makes bedtime a nightmare. Ten minutes after I get into bed that 'creeping' feeling in my calves and feet starts and I need to get up and move around. I used a foam roller for a while to massage the area but it was a hassle and I couldn't use it on my feet. My trainer suggested this and it's been great. I use it on my calves, feet, neck and lower back, it's perfect for knots, my husband uses it for charley horses. You control the amount of pressure. It's small and convenient, I keep it next to the bed so I can grab it when the RLS starts up and throw it in my suitcase when I travel. It's ridiculously easy to use however the instructions are on the box and in white on a yellow background, basically unreadable. So I suggest you check out a youtube video to make sure you're doing it right.

Good for post-workout
I frequently play sports and go to the gym that results in my legs becoming quite sore. This is also not very big so it very portable if you want to bring it to the fields or gym. My only wish is that it went a little deeper into the muscle to really massage good but otherwise it is still a very good product and works well. It is also very durable and has lasted me a long time. The grips are very easy to hold and it is easy to put a lot of pressure into it. My grandma also on occasion uses it, as her legs get sore and it is very easy for her to use!

As good as more expensive ones. Gets the job done!
Bought this about two weeks ago. Second one arrived today. Totally gets the job done. I would say that it is great for the price, which it is, but that implies that you give up something and you don't. There is no bending of the rod when pressing down, the rollers all roll smoothly.

Really Helps Ease Pain
I have a bad lower back from an injury years ago, and I also seem to tighten up my legs if I over-exert myself. I used to pop an ibuprofen to deal with the pain or use a topical sports rub. A friend recommended one of these and I finally gave it a try. I am so glad I did as it reduces the frequency I need to use medicine for pain relief.Very light an portable so I can take it with me when I go out for exercise. I toss it in the car when I head out hiking and roll out the tender areas upon return. (I do stretch before I hike too as usual.) I have taken the "weight penalty" of ~10 oz and taken this backpacking with me so I can use it after a long day on the trails with extra weight on my back. Even checked in in luggage on an international business trip to give me some pain relief and removing tightness from the flight when I got to the hotel.Very easy to use. Comfortable to hold with one or both hands. Apply as much downward pressure onto the roller against the sore muscles. Continue as long as needed. The rollers are loose and move well - no binding up. Roll over clothes or directly on the skin.I have a foam roller I also used to use on my lower back. I still use that on occasion for variety but this roller stick generally works but and providing some movement and relief. It is nice to have options!Highly Recommend this!!

Quality material, but does not roll smoothly
I have The Original Massage Stick (available on Amazon), but wanted something shorter for traveling. This is shorter and very sturdy, but it does not roll smoothly across the thighs. It really pulls the skin. It is better than nothing, but I would not get it again.
