My nephew likes space and the planets and this package is what he enjoys the most. The set-up is easy and requires 3 C batteries plus 3 AAA for the remote. It also lights up at night! I am glad Amazon had for a low price. Thanks!

Perfect for young children who are loving space. Easy to assemble, soft lighting and functional perfect! Education is key!

my 6 years old sun love it, just make sure you put it correctly (sticks small to large, than plants according to numbers 1-8, than every number to his place on the sun - i read disappointing reviews that the planets stuck with each other, for us it worked perfectly, they move in different speeds around the sun and its cool. the spinning is noisy so impossible to sleep with, but the glowing sun can definitely use as a night lamp. you have to hang on the ceiling. very recommended! .Good store - quick shipment oversees and not expensive!

So the solar system isn’t bad. I will list out the pros and cons. Pros: It has a light remote control The planets spin Cons: The information in the pamphlet is completely inaccurate as far as the earths existence and enforces their beliefs in a Big Bang theory. God created the heaves and the earth. Whether you believe it or not something can’t come from nothing (just let that sink in). Anyways moving on to the product. The solar system only spins around 1x and the planets move at a good speed and then slow down and then speed up (like the gears are having issues). Blame it on the batteries but I have enloop pros in them ($37 for a 4 pack. Just as much as this unit costs). Anyways I digress the “planets” do not rotate around the “sun” at a steady speed and stopping after 1 rotation does not make sense. I didn’t time it but tops 5 minutes. The remote doesn’t indicate timer and how long the timer is and the documentation provided doesn’t either. The documentation doesn’t tell you it only rotates once around the sun (wife purchased so maybe it is in the Amazon description). Anyways I give this a solid 3 stars (you get what you pay for and I would say it is $30 worth). Still 3 stars for the blatant opportunities.

If it had an option to plug in, I would rate a 5 star. I used this (as an adult) for about a month and a half before the batteries died (running overnight) . The requirement of needing to change batteries pretty regularly if you actually use it is the only reason I rate a 4. Still a fun product

Update!!! So after asking for an exchange the seller responded quickly and sent the new one!! I set it up and right after hanging it up I Immediately noticed a BIG difference on how it performed! The other one had problems spinning from the start! This one so far is wayyy better! Thumbs up to the seller !

First solar system came in and upon assembly found the planets to be cheaply wrapped in plastic print that doesn’t fit the planet very well leaving bare plastic exposed on the top and bottom of some planets. Included hardware are screws with large anchors that would need large holes drilled out to be hung. When the first solar system was hung the sun lamp was bright and great as a night light. Used the remote to activate the rotating planets and it only worked for 5 minutes before it made a grinding sound and stopped rotating. Submitted a return and replacement. New solar system came in and the sun was extremely dim and when clicking the rotate button the sun turned off and the rotation was very noisy, stuttered and stopped working within 30 seconds. Very poor quality overall, not 1 but 2 were faulty. Do not recommend.

We had one, had to get another for someone else.

Have bought so many things on Amazon and they have been great. Not this. Shocking quality for the price. Plastic garbage that wasn’t worth the $80 Paid.

In einem solchen Modell sind natürlich viele Vereinfachungen (Größen-, Entfernungs-, Geschwindigkeitsverhältnisse, Umlaufbahn, ...). Aber der eigentliche Zweck, der bei Kindern damit erreicht werden soll - nämlich Interesse, Faszination, Freude, Respekt - ist voll gegeben. Eine leuchtende Sonne, verschieden große und mit schön bedruckter Folie überzogene Planeten, die die Größenverhältnisse kindgerecht darstellen. Die Planeten rotieren mit 3 verschiedenen Geschwindigkeiten um die Sonne. Und das Licht und die Drehung sind per Fernbedienung ein- und ausschaltbar. Was will man mehr ...? Dass das Geräusch bei Drehung hörbar ist, stört nicht weiter - ist meiner Meinung nach besser wie wenn es flüsterleise wäre.

En termes visuels, l'article a dépassé mes attentes. Je pense que mon petit-fils l'appréciera beaucoup et j'espère que la qualité ne décevra pas et qu'il fonctionnera longtemps.
