Cute book, lovely pictures. The story is great for younger and older kids (up to 5 or 6). The only downside is (spoiler alert) my 3-year-old kept asking when we’d see the mermaid, and she’s never fully shown. You catch glimpses of her but no smiling, full image. My daughter still liked the book, but I see this as a miss for the younger audience.
