This thermometer is the only one I could find that was American made listed on Amazon, and they had a lot to choose from, go figure!Otherwise, it works great and is the easiest one I have ever used. The recommended case fits perfect.

Didn't work
Ir didn't work! Unfortunately I didn't have need to use it until 2 weeks after the no return date.

Battery didn't work
The battery that came with it did NOT work. I put in a new one that I had and it worked just fine. So even though the description says it comes with a battery - that is rather misleading. I do like the thermometer (so far) though.

i cannot get the battery compartment open
the instruction for the battery replacement leave a lot to be desired.i have tried everything to get that compartment open to no avail
