Lipton Soup Secrets Instant Soup Mix Ring-O-Noodle

Since my childhood Lipton Chicken Noodle soup has been a family favorite. My mom would make this to help keep us hydrated during the bouts with the flu, and to warm up after spending time outside during the best winter snows. When I saw it offered here on Amazon I called my mom and said, "Do you remember that amazing noodle soup you would make for us when I was a kid that came in the packet? Was that Lipton because I think I remember the box." She laughed and said, "Of course it was Lipton because they always made the best tea and noodle soup!" I ordered a full 12 pack of this right after I was sure that was the kind she would make for me because nothing is as comforting as a nice bowl of noodle soup especially if your feeling under the weather! I have read reviews that this soup has changed but I am happy to report it is the same exact soup my mom made for me when I was a four year old watching her pour it from the same packet all those years ago! PROS: 1. This is the same soup that Lipton is known and loved for, whatever the problem was everyone has talked about in reviews is no more. Lipton listened and we know have our favorite childhood favorite back! 2. This soup has 24 not 12 servings as each box contains two servings. 3. This soup is so much healthier than canned soups. 4. This soup tastes amazing. 5. This soup can be enjoyed as is or is a great starter soup to add eggs to (or as we like to call them in my family yeggs to be fun) and makes a beautiful yegg drop soup with amazing flavor. 6. This soup is very hydrating as you make each packet with 4 cups of water. 7. I love this quick shipping time and packaging. CONS: 1. The only thing I could even list as a con is that this soup is as loved by my dachshunds as it is by my family and I. If you have pets do not leave your bowl unattended or your soup will disappear. Have always liked Ring-O-Noodle soup. It is easy to prepare when I am sick and the quality is good for what it is, instant soup. Price is good too.

Love this pack of 12 boxes of Lipton extra noodle soup! No extra trips to the store, scouring grocery shelves looking for out of stock soup. My SIL & I both love Lipton's extra noodle soup so there's plenty on hand. Extra Noodle is one of the few soups that has that old fashioned TRUE chicken flavor. I had a craving for a brand named canned chicken noodle soup that I hadn't had for years and it has changed drastically. Zero chicken flavor. Lipton tastes exactly as it did when I was a child (I'm 65). Love that it's so easy to prepare. Not thick, not chunky, rather more like homemade chicken soup. You can add extra chicken, veggies, but it's delicious as is. Filling, but light enough not to make you feel stuffed. Goes great with anything. Always fresh, excellent quality in a box. 100% recommend.

Simple soup, easy to prepare. Eat as is or add in other goodies. Not my usual go-to soup, but I like keeping a well-stocked pantry with a wide variety of options. Always ALWAYS good to keep extra food and supplies on hand, so I look for food items with longevity. These days I also look for sales, and that is how I came across this product-- it was on sale. I know I like this product and brand, so it was a no brainer to get some. Nice that the noodles are made with semolina and Durum wheat as it provides additional nutrition.

What is there to say, but I bought this when I was heavily sick with C****d. I still have several more boxes, and I'm so happy I bought them. I eat them when I feel the itch, and they scratch the spot. The extra noodle is just to make sure I get more bang for my buck. Literally, worth the price to not have to keep buying the single boxes.

So, we have three kids and otherwise busy lives, and I have to confess to eating... poorly. Suffice to say, frozen pizza or a tub of ice cream could do for dinner more often than I'd like to admit. Fifteen years of living like this made me quite chubby. But I recently realized that it's not going to end well, came to my senses, and lost about 60 pounds over the past 7 months. Somewhere halfway through, I figured that the only way to stay skinny is to come up with a better selection of tasty snacks and meals that don't pack 1,000 kcal per serving - but that are still realistic given our habits. As a part of that effort, I ended up ordering half a dozen different chicken noodle soups from Amazon =) While instant soups are probably not the most nutritious of foods, they are tasty, take 2 minutes to prepare, and keep you full - so, they sure make a great alternative to pizza and such. Anyway, the bottom line is that this mix is definitely the best :-) It has a mild but pleasant taste that is precisely what you would expect in a fresh soup, comes loaded with pretty good noodles (again, if you give them 3-5 minutes, they rehydrate to a point where they taste just like fresh), and is just about 80 calories. I'm not sure what the "noodlegate" in earlier reviews is about, but I have nothing to complain about. Well, the only minor annoyance is that the soup comes in bags that make about 3 cups each. You need to measure about 2-3 tablespoons by hand to make a single serving, but this is tricky, because the soup powder settles at the bottom of the bag - be sure to stir thoroughly first! Slightly confusingly, Lipton also sels "Noodle Soup" (green label), which tastes the same but has fewer noodles (and just 50 kcal - not a huge difference, actually); and "Chicken Noodle" (light blue label), which comes with freeze-dried diced meat. I think the "Extra Noodle" variety is best.
