Clairol Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 6R Light Auburn Hair Color, Pack of 1

I was really happy with this hair color—it matched the shade on the box very closely and gave me a result I loved. The formula was easy to mix and apply, and even with my hair being below my shoulders, there was just the right amount of product. It also lasted a good amount of time before fading.The only drawback for me is personal—I have sensitive skin, and coloring my hair tends to irritate my scalp. Because of that, I may need to look for something gentler in the future. Otherwise, this is a fantastic option if you want a reliable, true-to-color demi-permanent dye.

This is great hair color but this color is more reddish than appears if your hair is a light color. For more brownish color go with golden light brown. It has perfect mount iof auburn red mix that looks more natural. .but if bright red is your color it must be blonde ir grey to take that color . I mix this color thought with light golden brown to get auburn high lights. Mix half and half of each tube's and tighten lids fir next time.

I was disappointed because the color is much lighter than pictured on the box. Although zi have rec8several compliments. I would not purchase those color agagsin but it is easy to use a d .y hair comes out shiny and soft.

I've used this for a few decades, and it never disappoints. The coloring isn't harsh on the hair, and the red coloring always gets me compliments. Hairdressers never complain about it hurting my hair, and the many years of use stand the test of time. In the last year, I have found I need to wash the main color out a bit more before using the conditioner to keep it from feeling a bit greasy, but good rinsing helps this.

Very easy to apply. My very muddy blondish hair had grown out a completely different color after losing 2/3 of it from an unknowingly highly deleterious product claiming to be ever so gentle and rejuvenating. . . . my daughter alerted me to the already $256 million paid in damages and to, of course, STOP using it. Took a full 2.5 years to grow back a healthy head of hair. In any case, I found this product to be exceptional, the color true to form with its deep auburn overtones and was a fun, conditioning experiment. But, as ALWAYS a natural blonde my entire life as are my children, I don’t really look familiar to myself and will likely make an attempt to return to something close to the person I once recognized in the mirror, when sleeping properly and consistently. BUT OVERALL, I highly recommend this product and as it is only temporary, and truly so gentle, a great way to try on a new presentation. You know women and their hair! We only have so much we can control. I truly didn’t even get it applied with absolute accuracy but it really did a fantastic job of overriding my slightly exhausted self as I went about it. VERY inexpensive considering the outcome and ease of use. Just be sure to have a less than favorite towel on your shoulders to keep off your skin although it has no ammonia or anything particularly damaging, just would very temporarily stain your skin. I'm a long time Natural Instincts user and my go-to was 7RG/15GR.After the reformulation i noticed that the only reds that were offered were darker than what i had been using. There was an option for Rose Gold, which i tried and it looked absolutely horrible. It was ashy and unattractive, and it left my hair dry and frizzy.So i stockpiled! I searched high and low for the old formula and became willing to pay more per box because i thought surely Clairol would read the reviews, see the error of their ways, and correct their new formula.Sadly i was very wrong. Fast forward 3-4 years and i'm down to my last two boxes of the old version. In a desperate move i tried 6RR yesterday. It was a huge mistake. The new formula is drippy and smells awful. It once again left my hair dry and sad. But the worst part is the color. Oh! The color...Instead of my copper red tone that closely matches my regular hair color i've got violet hair on the roots and the ends. Call it user error for my own dye job but i have been doing this a long time and never encountered a disaster like this. It's atrocious. I'm actually embarrassed about how bad it is.Long story short: I can't fool myself anymore! I have to divorce Clairol. They just don't have the redheads covered (pun intended). They may think their old 15GR formula didn't sell well, but as another reviewer pointed out it was because the "dye" hard fans were buying it up in bulk when we could find it.Attaching two photos to show what i had before and what i got yesterday (appropriately labeled happiness and sadness).
