Very poor adhesion.
I was hesitant to buy this as it was adhesion only. All of my other cars used OEM deflectors using secure clip mounting. I prepped surface with rubbing alcohol to clean thoroughly. I warmed both tape and roof of car with a heat gun to promote better adhesion. Adhered to vehicle and left it inside a heated garage at 74 deg F. Did not drive car for 4 days. Took it out and hit the highway at 58 mph. It blew off the roof of the car, and hit the vehicle behind me. Luckily no collision occurred. The unit is advertised as using "3M waterproof tape". Wrong, It has a tape similar to 3M. It is a poor quality tape. See my attached photos. One is an extra roll of tape supplied with the unit. The other clearly a proper 3M tape. Note that the 3M tape used their logo on the backing liner. The unit supplied tape does not. Frankly, I find this disturbing. Using the 3M name when the tape is not. 3M "type" is what it should read. So to summarize. beware when purchasing this unit. Purchase some real 3M tape to replace the one on it. Also, the tape applied does NOT allow for any water to run off trapped under the deflector. It should have proper channels cut into the plastic to allow run off. OEM units do.On the plus side, it is a nice looking unit for the price. Too bad the quality is lacking in manufacturing.

Great product
This is a very affordable quality product. As with all accessories of this type it is made of durable acrylic with a dark smoke finish. It attaches easily using the standard double-sided auto adhesive tape found under the lip of the deflector. Simply peel off the tape covering and press into place. It's not brain surgery. When installing be sure to press down firmly along the lip edge and hold for a few seconds to ensure a firm grip. Make sure the surface is clean before installing and, like any other adhesive attachment, install when the weather is warm rather than cold to guarantee better adhesion. I have not encountered a single issue or defect with the product and am a happy customer. It's a pretty utilitarian product and if installed correctly I don't understand how people experience problems with it.

The Product Looks Nice and Works If You Take Extra Adhesive Measures
The product arrived on time but it had 2 superficial scratches on it. I applied some rubbing alcohol to the scratches and the scratches disappeared. The product looks nice on a car but I would STRONGLY advise that you do the following in order to ensure proper adhesion to the roof of your vehicle: (1) CLEAN the roof of your vehicle with rubbing alcohol in the area where you will apply the adhesive tape in order to ensure that the area is free of dirt. (2) Use a heat gun (on the lowest setting) to soften the tape for about 12-15 seconds (I replaced the factory adhesive tape with thin 3M double-sided tape [$8] because 3M makes the best tape). However, I still used a heat gun to heat the 3M tape to maximize strength adhesion. (3) Apply the deflector to the car roof and press firmly down on all edges of the deflector to ensure adhesion. (4) Use a heat gun again for a couple of minutes to go all around the adhesive edge of the deflector to reheat the tape underneath it so that it will create a strong bond between the metal of your car, the tape, and the plastic deflector when the tape cools (chemistry students know how heat effects molecular bonds). (5) Do not move the deflector for 2 hours (preferably 6-8 hours) to allow the tape adhesive to cool and bond. This should provide a long lasting bond that should hold the deflector in place. Please remember that you can always go back and uninstall a problem adhesive area of the deflector simply by reheating the area with a heat gun and re-applying some additional tape or simply pressing down on the existing tape once the tape becomes soft as a result of the heat. If you fail to follow the above instructions then your deflector may fall off of your car because the force of wind is at it's greatest force on the roof of your car as you drive.

Had problems wirh this product..
First, after cleaning area and rubbing with alcohol, I noticed the flimsy lining on the bottom base of the deflector. After taping to get it to stick, the left side took hold but right side kept coming up. The sticky tape is a bit thin (3M). Just didn't want to bond to surface. I stripped and used a thicker weight 3M tape and it held for a couple of weeks and started lifting again. Product just seems a bit thin and quality could be thicker. I've used other brands in the past and they held up better on first install or lasted til I sold the car. Idk, maybe mine was bent . Even if it wasn't, it needs more stronger adhesive taping .
