READ HERE TO SWAP SWITCH FACE CORRECTLY
These buttons are great for the price, but as other reviewers have mentioned the switch faces are reversed. If looking at the switch from the side, the top of the switch has the copper colored prong (negative) on top (see last photo). As seen in 1st and 2nd photo this is how the switches come. The LED is on the bottom. Most want the LED on the top as it makes more sense. As seen in the 3rd photo just take a small screwdriver and stick it in the side and the cover will pop out with a little persuasion. Take note of 4th photo as there is a little metal rocker tab under the switch. It can fall out easily take note as it only goes in one way. Same with white piece under switch face. It only goes in one way. Remove switch face from the white piece, turn 180 degrees around, place back on white piece, and click back into switch. Then it will light up correctly as seen in 6th and 7th photo. Simple once you do the first one. I used a yellow one since that will be my least used color in case I messed it up, but again it was simple as long as you make sure the parts dont get turned around on the inside. Again everything on the inside stays the same you are just turning around the "switch face". I hope this helps out! Please give me a like and a comment if this helped you Thanks

Good in theory, bad in practice
Pros: the LED is bright enough for indication, but not crazy enough to blind you. There is a very positive click when actuated.Cons: The internals wired incorrectly for proper function. The entirety of the current is forced to go through the LED if you use the outer two poles, which makes the switch's resistance 5-9Mohms. If you hook up both of the positive poles and the ground how you are told, no current will flow through the accessory due to voltage droping below the input voltage to the LED. For proper function, the LED should be flipped around to make the center pole ground and the outer poles positive.

Easy. Just spin the top around for correct ON orientation.
For those concerned with the orientation of the light when it's in the ON position. Fixing it is extremely simple and doesn't even damage the housing.HOW TO SWAP LIGHT ON ORIENTATION:Assuming you have a tiny screw driver/another small tool for prying. Just pop off the switch from the housing (it's barely held in place by two minuscule plastic "rods" at the center point). It comes right out, then you just spin the top-most black light cover to whatever orientation you want, and push the switch back in. Just make sure the interior "rocker" piece of metal is centered when you press the switch back in (you will understand when you open it).Easy as that.

Look at the picture!!!
A lot of people ding this product for being "backward". Someone actually gave it one star because of this. Look at the pictures, folks. You can clearly see that the LED is activated when the switch is pushed away from the LED. I admit that this is opposite of what most switches do but the pictures clearly show that this is the case. Shame on me for not realizing that. These work great. Drill a 13/16" hole, crimp on quick disconnects, ground goes on the colored pin, power source goes on the middle, power out goes on the last one. Couldn't be simpler.

This has to be one of the best bangs for the buck I've ever purchased on Amazon
I'd give these switches 10 stars if I could. This has to be one of the best bangs for the buck I've ever purchased on Amazon. I used 4 of the switches for lights and turn signals on my electric trike and they are perfect. The little LED lights "blink" to remind me the turn signal is on or off. I'm sure I'll use the remaining 8 switches on various projects in the near future. What a deal for well under $1 per switch. Just wire the brass colored tab to a ground wire, the middle tab to your light or appliance and the other outer tab to your incoming hot from battery. They work like a charm.

Basic cheap switch that works backward
Hi folks:This is a basic single pole single throw switch (SPST). When you connect the brass colored terminal to ground the LED will then work. You don't have to wire it up though if you don't want to. As others have pointed out, the toggle position for "on" is backwards of other switches. You would expect that when the LED is down, the light would be on, but this is not the way this switch works. The pictures clearly show this. One other reviewer explained how to modify the switch, which is what I did. It does require some patience and dexterity, but you can turn the toggle portion around, and then the switch will work as you expect. Just make sure you turn the inner portion 180° so the LED lines up with the front cover. You'll understand that better when you pop the top off.I think Amazon does sell these in a three pack ( at higher cost per switch), but at $.50 a piece I suppose there a decent value. I have no idea how long they will last as the tabs that the switch pivot on are extremely thin, and the metal is very thin tin.I would certainly not rate these as a high-end switch that's going to last for the next 15 years. Pretty typical of the overseas "cheap" but inexpensive goods.I'd say you're probably better off just buying one good quality switch If you really want something to last. I paid more than the asking price of all of these for one good quality switch. For hobby projects that don't need to last a long time or that are used occasionally, I suspect these are a decent value. I don't think they deserve much more than a few stars though due to quality, and the fact they are backwards and require modification to work as you would expect.

Quality issues - used 8 to get almost 4 working!
Got 12 switched to use 4. Used eight to get 4 semi-working switched and still had one mushy one. All the blue lights were mushy and missed a quality check somewhere. Some were just mushy springs on the on/off rocker, some had the ground pin fall off and one caused a short (fuse blown). The cut-out diameter is DEFINITELY not 0.75" as stated in the description and in the Q&A. More like 0.875 and still have to apply significant force to insert. Some significant quality control issues here.

Pretty decent. The lights are LED with a small resistor, so they will heat up a bit. The barrel diameter is just a hair over 3/4 inch and the clips expand out to about .9 inch.

Switch the LED around and they're perfect!
There's a review that tells how to rotate the LED, which makes them make sense to me. So do that! :)
