So I received this clock today. I put it in my bathroom on the counter under my Salvador Dali print and it looks badass. Very sharp, modern, Art Deco look and it’s keeping time just fine. Would definitely recommend the clock. Here’s my gripe, though. The box the clock came in had obviously been opened. The corner was smashed, the adhesive seal had been cut, and the tab to open the box had been ripped back. Inside, the clock was wrapped in a bubble wrap bag that wasn’t sealed but rather crumpled up at the top. And, most telling, the clock had a cheap battery in it that was in backwards. I suspect that is why the clock was returned, because someone didn’t think it worked. I have no problem with this, as I often return things after opening the box and taking them out. I always put things back exactly as they were when I opened them and, if I’ve used or damaged anything, I don’t return it at all. A short time out of the box for someone to take a look at something does not make it used. It does, however, make it open box and Amazon should be selling the product at the open box price, not the full new price. This is what reputable vendors do. And this isn’t the first time this has happened with Amazon, it’s just the first time I’ve decided to gripe about it. Amazon has gotten so big that it’s out of control. It’s overnight prime shipping is sketchy, at best. Their search engine is terrible. You can try to search for tennis shoes and car parts come up. There’s a ton of junk on Amazon from manufacturers you’ve never heard of, and their visual display of the products is often grainy and not true to color. More and more I find myself going back to eBay...

I needed a small clock for a very narrow console table. This looks great! Doesn't look cheap and appears to be keeping time.

Howard Miller is a legendary American furniture maker and design firm. This beautiful table clock only confirms the Howard Miller reputation with its clean lines and easily readable numerals. IMPORTANT USER TIP; When the clock arrives, immediately remove & discard the cheap AA battery that probably has been in the clock since the day it was built. Replace it with a FRESH ( ALWAYS CHECK THE "USE BY" DATE on the battery package before buying) AA Duracell or similar quality battery, not some el cheapo off-brand! I'm going on about this, because until I did this, my clock wouldn't keep accurate time due to a slightly run-down battery and I was howling in frustration. SECOND USER TIP: To be certain that your clock is working, hold it firmly pressed against your best working ear, or, if necessary, with fresh batteries in your hearing aid (don't make me start on this again) and listen for the faint tick of the second hand. Despite my neurotic OCD complaints about a run-down battery, I love & highly recommend this attractive clock!

Had the clock less than a year, and it won’t keep time now. Replaced the battery, and it still won’t keep time. A lot of money for 9 months of asage.

I needed to replace a small analog Howard Miller clock I had gotten for graduation 36 YEARS AGO so it was a no-brainer that I was going to replace it with another Howard Miller. I browsed the extensive selection of many styles and features and settled on this one because of its large analog face, its classic styling, and simplicity of use. It arrived in a timely (no pun intended) manner and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Not only does it keep great time but it also enhances the room in which it resides.

The design is what makes the clock attractive... I'm watching for accuracy as one adjustment in correcting the time but consider that it could be my error. A note on the clock's outer box - a bit on the shabby side and not looking 'fresh' so as to eliminate or have second thoughts on gift giving if intended.

The top clock piece broke off the bottom the first day I had it. I was able to superglue it back together so beware this is a delicate item.

This clock is perfect for my bathroom counter. It keeps perfect time, is easy to use, has an alarm & looks so classy on my counter. It would be perfect anywhere you put it! Pretty enough to go on a fireplace mantle or in a living room!! I really like my new clock!!
