ShearsDirect Black Carving Comb, 1.1 Ounce

I have always loved using my Paul Mitchell carving comb for doing razor cuts and all the teeth broke out of my comb leaving me in the market for something more affordable and quick to replace. This comb isn't brand name but is definitely Great and glides just the same offering cutting and chunking techniques ! Very very affordable and the blades came sharp!

I bought this on recommendation to use on horses manes. It does the job and makes the mane look like it was pulled but without hurting your horse. The only downside is that the plastic is like a cheap 50cent comb and the blades are def not sharp enough for the job. It took quite a while but looks good..I think I'll spend the extra $$ and get some thing made specifically for horses.

Works exactly how I needed it to! Sharp and the comb is thick and easy to handle and use.

If you are great at modification buy this product as you will need to secure the blades so they don't fly out when you move the tool. Very disappointed in quality. Needed the blades will use after I modify or resort to using my old one I was trying to replace

Very cheaply made, top does not stay hold that secures blades. Doesn't "fit" well in the hand; believe it's the exceptionally light weight.

I would give a 5 star rating, but there is residual plastic left in between the comb teeth, giving a cheap first impression. I was able to pop it out. The carving comb is decent quality. The comb teeth are nice and stiff. Unlike Paul Mitchell's carving comb, it has a release button that pushes the razors out.

I've ordered 2 because I lost my first one. Both times it came with 10 blades. I will have to order the Donald Scott version someday to see what the 57$ can do. So far the people I've used this on loved the feathered effect and told me that it's been awhile since they felt beautiful. This is pretty amazing.
