Perfect 24" Bike Trainer! Was not defective!
I read the review many times and expected the trainer to be delivered to me broken, but you can see by the pictures 2 things:1) The parts were very well packaged now. I think the sellers listened to the negative reviews. There was think foam and lots of tape surrounding the parts2) The black piece around the spring was NOT broken. It was in perfect condition.It came with all the parts needed to put it together.I had a bit of hard time but it was because I did it incorrectly. FOllow instructions. I did :1) Unfold the unit.2) Mount the bike on to the unit by the back wheels screw/bolts. I did it by the frame which was wrong and scratched my bike lol. Need to put the back wheel's screws/bolts onto the bike.3) Raise the bike by back screw.I'll post video soon. I didn't need the long bolt that came with the 2 wrenches for my 24" wheel tires.Hope this helps. Only 24" bike trainer on the market. It's great! Def don't hesitate. The $70 price is right, too!

It works fine
The other reviews stating cosmetic defects are not wrong but I can't be mad since this has been the only bike stand that fits a 24in bike tire. It works just fine. Saving me a bajillion dollars in buying a bike stand that needs a converter. It's fairly easy to put together once you figure out which way to set it up. The provided instructions are absolutely no help but you can deduce what you need to from the pictures.

Ordered two of these. Both were broken.
I bought one of these for my wife. It arrived broken. The case that holds the friction wheel was broken where the tension adjustment cable goes into it. I returned it and ordered another one. I received the second one. It was broken in the same place that the first one was broke. The item is poorly packed. The tension adjustment cable is outside the inner box that holds the friction wheel assembly. The box flops around inside the outer box and the case breaks where the tension cable is attached.

Other than that it works just fine.
Same result as previous two reviews - where the tension cable attaches to the black part, the piece was broke. It does still work though and seems mostly cosmetic, but agree with other post, very poorly packaged. Other than that it works just fine.
