The best pillow if your a side sleeper. Totally worth the money
After struggling with neck and shoulder pain for years, I decided to give the Eli & Elm Side Sleeper Pillow a try, and I can honestly say it has made a huge difference in my sleep quality. From the moment it arrived, I was impressed. The packaging was sleek, sturdy, and well-designed—definitely a step above the flimsy plastic bags that some pillows come in. It felt like I was unboxing a high-end product, which only added to my excitement. The pillow itself is unlike any other I’ve tried. The contoured design, specifically made for side sleepers, provides incredible support for my neck and head. I no longer wake up with that dreaded stiff neck or aching shoulders. The fill is adjustable, so I was able to customize the firmness to suit my needs. It has just the right balance of softness and support—plush enough to be comfortable, but firm enough to keep my head aligned with my spine. Since switching to this pillow, I’ve noticed a dramatic reduction in morning aches and pains. I used to wake up feeling sore, but now I feel refreshed and well-rested. If you're a side sleeper struggling with discomfort, I highly recommend giving the Eli & Elm Side Sleeper Pillow a try. It’s an investment in better sleep, and for me, it’s been worth every penny.

Best Pillow EVER!!
I set out on a 'pillow project' to search for the world's most comfortable pillow. I have a bad neck, and could not find a pillow that helped me sleep without waking up with a stiff, sore neck. I spent a couple months and tried a total of 11 different pillows. Although I tried to sleep at least several nights on each pillow before making a decision, I often found myself grabbing for the Eli and Elm pillow again before one night was even over on the other pillows. Eli and Elm was the most expensive of all the pillows I tried, so I really did not WANT to like it the best. I was hoping one of the less expensive ones would work out, but in the end, this was the ONLY pillow for me! It is very soft and comfy, yet very supportive for my neck as well. I love the way the curve wraps around my neck and back. It's like sleeping on a soft, supportive cloud. The only problem I've found with this pillow is that it's SO comfortable that I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning! There are just some things WORTH paying for, and this pillow is one of them!!!

Comfortable so far
I've struggled with neck and shoulder pain for a long time. I sleep on my side and rather than sleeping on my back I tried a few different pillows. Last night I tried this pillow for the first time. I gave it a few hours to breathe and take form after being sealed. The comfort of this pillow was really nice, I woke up without any pain. The crescent shape seems helpful. For me, it appears to be the right amount of fill inside the pillow. Although I do know with this type of pillow I may need to add filling down the road because of wear. It did smell really bad last night, to the point I almost wanted to not use it. This morning I took it outside on the back porch to let it air out. This afternoon it's much better. If it still lingers tonight I'll repeat tomorrow and hopefully that should do it. I had a coop pillow before that had that smell and I did the same thing and it took care of the smell. Also, I have a satin pillow case that is rectangular shape but it worked fine with this shape, it's obviously not a perfect fit and isn't aesthetically pleasing but that doesn't bother me. Maybe down the road if I come across a crescent shape satin or silk pillowcase I'll buy it. If things change with the comfortable feeling of this pillow or I start waking up with neck pain I'll update this review. For now, it was very nice to wake up without neck and shoulder pain, I'll take the win!

Still had neck pain
I wanted to love this pillow. I have struggled to find a pillow to support my neck, this pillow made my neck pain worse. I tried adjusting the fill, fluffing the pillow, putting in dryer for a few minutes. No matter how I adjusted it it was just not comfortable for my neck.

I'm conflicted on this pillow = side sleeper
I'm a side sleeper that sleeps primarily on one side only, i.e., not a lot of turning over. I think that's necessary info for others reading pillow reviews. And my preference is for high, firm support under my neck in order to keep my head at the proper angle. This pillow does not meet that requirement. The good parts of this pillow are the curved shape that allows it to be pulled fully down to provide theoretical neck support. And the bilateral shape so that you can turn either side as desired. The stuffing inside is in a separate zippered casing so you can add or subtract stuffing for customized comfort. And that stuffing does feel quite luxurious. The outer, zippered pillow case likewise feels quite luxurious - a premium fabric for sure. So, what's not to like? Well, any side sleeper of a certain age especially is looking for adequate support to keep weight off the shoulder and the head in proper alignment. For me, the height of the pillow matters and this one might could work (I'm 5'8" with a somewhat long, but not freakishly long, neck) but for the fact that the stuffing inside moves and/or compresses during the night so that there is no neck support. The insert that came with the pillow instructs that the pillow must be "fluffed" for best effect and that is true. When first fluffed, this pillow feels like pure heaven. But then, during the night, the support is just gone. And waking up to exert effort to re-fluff the pillow just wakes me fully, thus defeating the purpose of a great pillow to get a good night's sleep. I tried rolling a small towel for cervical support and placing inside the inner casing, but that really didn't work as well as I had hoped. So, the product feels luxurious and is well made and may work for you if your pillow needs are different than mine. But if you're looking for a pillow that will feel consistently supportive throughout the night, then I suggest something different. I haven't found that pillow yet and I've tried many both inexpensive and expensive. I've slept on this pillow for 2-3 weeks at the time of this review.

Great for side sleepers
So let me preface by saying i started off the new year pretty sick. I had seemingly endless fevers, and i wasn't sleeping well. On my old pillow i started to develop neck and shoulder pain on both sides. Luckily i bought this pillow a day or two after Christmas. It smelled really awful when i unboxed it, and it took about a week before that smell went away. However it was ready to use not long after the new year, and it was a total godsend. Obviously it didn't cure my fevers, but it took away my neck and shoulder pain in two days. It is the perfect height for me if i have an arm under the pillow. If you don't do that, you may want to invest in additional fill. I had my doubts about the fill holding up (i thought it would sink a bunch), but it seems like the harder you sleep on it the harder it pushes back. I couldn't be happier with it (other than the smell upon opening it).

The perfect pillow
This is not just a regular pillow, it’s a testament to the pursuit of ultimate comfort and rejuvenating sleep! As someone who values quality rest the Eli and Elm pillow exceeded my expectations. I really like how the thickness can be adjusted based on preference and the over all support it provides with the perfect amount of plushiness. This pillow is really a game changer.

Don't get how this keeps winning "best pillows" lists
I have neck issues and have been on a hunt for a new pillow. I am also mostly a side sleeper and I have seen this pillow on many "best pillows for side sleepers" or "best pillows for neck pain" lists. Turned out to be a big disappointment. First off I have my suspicions this was returned pillow. The box was taped up with clear packing tape and had some damage. The pillow had some filling fluff on the outside when I opened it up. Then there was the SMELL. I know most new pillows have a smell, especially latex. But while other latex pillows I've tried have a weird, sweet but mostly tolerable smell, this pillow smell like it was stuffed with old party balloons. I could smell it just being in the room with it. When I tried to sleep on it, it made me nauseous. Next, the fill is messy and strange. I made the mistake of taking off the outer case on my bed and all this latex powder got all over my sheets and comforter. Ended up having to wash them to get it off. That worried me about breathing that in when I'm sleeping. Lastly, the feel of the pillow itself was weird. At first, it fell soft in some areas and super firm in others. with a bit of fluffing, I was able to make it feel more consistent but it still felt strange, kind of like sleeping on pizza dough. I might have been able to get used to it, and maybe even come to like it but that smell was just too gross to keep trying. So why 2 stars and not one. I really liked the shape. It felt so good on my neck and just worked well with my body mechanics and sleeping posture. I feel super supported and cradled. Another plus was both the outer cover and the inner liner were gusseted so it didn't collapse at the edges as some pillows do (looking at you Coop Eden). I feel like this pillow with a better fill could have been perfect for me.
