Do NOT purchase this item. You can not get any service for it. After less than 4 months of light use, the button popped off in pieces. It no longer can hold the hose to the vacuum. Think crucial’ a support phone has been disconnected and their emails are returned due to problem with their address.After getting a different email, the company came through. I got a full refund. Not sure if I will reorder or not.

Product came and the clip and spring were disassembled. i almost lost the spring when i oppend the package

Bought mine in june, and like others, the red clip collapsed on us just before Christmas. Time to buy another, but will choose a different one this time.Worked fine until this point. We vacuum about 3 times a day and take it off often, due to pets. So i guess if you dont unclip it often it will last a while. But for us ~6 months is pretty dismal.EDIT: seller saw this and issued a refund, so we pleased with their response to the issue.

I purchased this hose to replace a hose that was cracked. It arrived and I got it installed on the vacuum, use it 3 times and it broke. I right away got on Amazon so that I could get it returned, but it is taking FOREVER to get the replacement. I haven't vacuumed my house in 2 weeks now. The disappointment that I have is the part wasn't sent out sooner so I am not waiting so long.

Like everyone else the red and grey buttons fell off. We have lost the spring and now we are trying to figure out if we should buy a new vacuum or find a better hose. What a pain in the rear end.

You will find the clip on the handle comes off with normal, expected use. I could not use it a single time without the clip coming off.Unless it is being sold as used merchandise, goods sold in the United States are otherwise considered merchantable. That's kind of legal word meaning that they should work to perform as they are described.Items sold as new should not break with the normal use they were sold for. If they break within 30 days under normal use the buyer can return the item for a full refund. In America, when sellers are found to be selling items that they know to be defective they are subject to legal recourse. This is just a word to the seller.While this unit does not work as it is being sold I will offer to others who have ordered this my experience.A small amount of CA glue, we call it krazy glue, put along the area where the gray retaining clip is mounted, will make the piece that's falling off stay on. The unit suffers one more defect, however, and that is the red part of the mechanism that latches on to the shaft of the vacuum is slightly too long.I had a great deal of problem removing the handle once it was clipped on.The solution here, after I was able to remove the handle, was to remove a small amount of this retaining clip that extends inside using something like a file or perhaps you could use a pocket knife or even an emery board.My time is precious and this fix was easier than the effort of returning this and taking the chance of ordering another one.

new hose replacement is right size however as soon as we snapped it into place the bottom half of attachment release buttom (small red & gray button) popped off. The gray piece pops off everytime we use it to remove attachment or put it back into base. The little spring and the gray plastic has to be reattached each time

I had to glue the red release button before using because it wouldn't stay on. Fits vacuum well and is as good as new now that it's glued.

The red and gray pieces with spring flew off when trying to connect this hose part to my vacuum. Company offered refund and did not even suggest a replacement. Very disappointing that a company continues to sell a part when they know it is a problem they do not want to fix.
