I bought it to fit in my granddaughter’s backpack but it’s too hard for her to open. Definitely nice for an adult.

I like that this umbrella folds up to a small size. That's about it. It's hard to open and close. You have to really push/pull hard to open the umbrella fully. Doing so the third or fourth time I used it, the force required to open it caused the plastic handle to break off. Do not buy this.

So lightweight- I hardly know I’m carrying it. I hiked in the Himalayas while carrying it, all over Alaska while carrying it and around cities, as I travel around the world. It is so much better than having to put on a hat and shirt when the air is hot. I just point it in the direction of the sun and am easily protected from the waist up. I have purchased several because they are somewhat fragile in the wind (Hawaii!). They are lightweight and can only be blown inside out so many times before an arm breaks. For the price vs important purpose, I’m okay with that.

This umbrella isn't heavy duty like American's are used to. It's okay in a pinch, but it's not quality.

We ordered two of these for the expressed purpose of taking them on a multi-city trip to Europe. We wanted a lightweight and compact umbrella, and we got it. For the limited use on the trip (2 days in use), they were fine...but low quality. We didn't even feel they were worth bringing back on the flight with us. So...they were donated to a local shelter in Paris. For the price and size, they worked for us...but the umbrella is not going to last a full season. You should treat this like it is disposable.

I bought it just to have in my purse or glove compartment just in case it rains. I lost my old mini-umbrella. I haven't used it much, but I think it works well. It opens and closes easily. The inside support is made really well. I'm shocked at the sturdiness of this umbrella compared to previous umbrellas I've bought. Since I haven't had it that long and don't use it that often, I can't say how long it lasts. It hasn't shown any wear-and-tear yet. Also, if you're looking for a small umbrella that opens wide this is a good choice. A lot of small or mini umbrellas don't go out far enough, but this does.

This mini umbrella was totally useless. Almost impossible to open and close. One gust of wind and it collapsed. Wanted it for travel. Using a hood a far better choice.
