Great mat, but price for the medium increased $6
This is a great mat. It's rubber, so you can actually clean it. It catches a lot of scatter. I use these inside large plastic totes where I keep the litter boxes. The cat walks in, uses the box, then walks back out across the mat. Outside the tote I use a microfiber bath rug from Gorilla grip to catch the rest of the scatter. This is not a pretty solution, but it works. My cats are unhygienic little monsters so they will find a way to poop or pee on stuff if possible. The rubber construction makes it easier to clean than the foam honeycomb type that hold odors. I wanted to buy some more of these but the price has increased by more than 50%. So I'll wait to see if it comes down. Otherwise I have no complaints. I just tip mat with the excess litter back into the box when I do the twice daily cleaning.

best mat I've tried
This mat rocks for several reasons: 1. It's non-skid, so wherever you put it your cat can jump onto it safely and not feel like the earth moved under them. I keep my litter mat in a bath tub and this is important since my kitty jumps down into the tub. 2. It's easily cleaned. The litter doesn't get stuck in holes like other litter mats but it also holds the litter from scattering. You can easily pick it up, roll it and gingerly carry it outside to shake then spray off. Alternatively throw it in the washing machine (I haven't done that though). 3. It's huge. I got the XL and I have no regrets, I can cover a huge area of the floor/tub even if I put the litter box on top of the mat.

Works great!
This mat works exactly as described & I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, clean solution to litter scatter on your floor! The only reasons I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because: 1. I ordered 2 in the same color, but when I opened them the colors weren't exactly the same. For me it wasn't a huge deal since they are being used in different rooms, but for someone who has them in the same location it might be a bigger concern. 2. I wish they came in a larger size than the largest mat currently comes in (which is the one I bought). If they could be an additional 6" in width & length that would have worked out better for me, but everyone's spaces are different so for most people this size probably suffices. All that being said, they trap the litter well & keep it from being tracked all throughout my home.

Bought two , love it.
I love this product, I have used many different cat litter mats and this one does the best job in my opinion. Most of the litter never makes it off of the mat and you can easily shake this out or vacuum up the pieces that are trapped in the little holes. I like it because you can get 100% of the trapped cat litter out and you can hose this down if needed, some of the other types of cat litter mats are like a mesh design and some of the cat litter gets permanently trapped within the mesh so you can't get all of it out, but not with this product. The xlarge size can be cut with scissors to fit any area if its too large. I find the medium perfect. If you have more than one kitty id go with the xlarge.

It is a nice quality rubber mat - 5 stars Ability to trap ...
It is a nice quality rubber mat - 5 starsAbility to trap and contain cat litter - 3 StarsIn reality it really does not perform any better that a throw rug I was using. Yes litter does fall into the holes (depressions) in the mat but there is a large center section that has no holes. My vacuum will pick litter up out of the holes. My issue is when the cat(s) walk over the mat during multiple visits to the litter box the litter comes back out of the depressions and migrates off the mat. In the end it is a nice mat but do not expect anything special with regards to litter trapping.

The best litter mat!
I have bought so many litter mat it is not funny anymore. I bought the Petfusion smartgrip and it was awful. It didn't stop the tracking, it was flimsy, and when the cats had an accident I was grateful because it gave me a reason to throw it away.I have bought the Aspen Stay Fresh Cat Litter Mat with Scatter Control from Walmart and it works, but it is really hard to vacuum. Finally I tried this one and I feel like I have found the final solution. I like this litter mat so much that I have three of them for the three litter boxes. It catches the litter, is easy to vacuum, and it is durable.

Great quality and works well
This mat has been working great for my litter boxes (I have two). It's heavy duty and sticky as promised to capture litter. My cats peed on them a couple times, but that's normal as they have always had a thing with plastic. But since they are rubber, it was easy to clean them. They came rolled up, so I did have to put something heavy on the corners for a bit until they laid down.Overall, nice-looking and they do the trick. I can't imagine them not lasting a long time b/c the quality seems really high.

Extra Large Size...
The 'extra large' size is great! It provides more coverage for trapping scattered litter. Easy to fold the mat and shake trapped litter into the litter locker. Our current mat is the large version of this one, which after several years is still in good shape, but we felt the 'extra larger' would work better. I deducted a star because the 'edges' still won't lay flat, even after a month. When we got it, the mat had a strong odor, which I knew would keep the cat from her litter box. So I soaked it for a few hours in a tub of hot water with baking soda, and after a good rinse laid it outside to air dry. The soak didn't 'eliminate' the odor, but lessened it. The first day it was in front of her litter box, the cat peed on it, but not since. To clean- I rinse it off, spray with a no-scent/cat-safe cleaner, rinse again and lay on towels to dry.
