Great idea, but there were problems
When we bought this product it was with the intention that we would protect our blueberries from starlings,m stellar jays and sparrows. Upon its arrival I found that the mesh was very light and thin. I gently hung this product over my blueberry bushes and thought problem solved. Three days after using the netting, We woke up to two birds entangled by their feet. One had clearly been there a while and could not be saved, The other had to be cared for for several days and was successfully released. I believe that had the mesh been slightly stiffer this would not have been possible. We also found that in high winds the mesh becomes entangled in the bushes and can cause breakage when you choose to remove it. .

It does its job, but caveat...bird casualties.
This netting is quite flimsy, but I didn't mind that. It covered our raspberries nicely. However, after a week we found a dead robin in the netting. Yuck, and bummer. We had a total of 4 birds in less than two weeks get tangled up and three died. We saved the fourth and removed the netting. Now we have a creepy owl statue and they seem to be leaving the berries alone. We also bought some holographic "ticker tape" and will be putting that up near the other berry bushes we have.

Great fig protector
The netting is good to prevent birds from fruits and vegetables. I was a little disappointed that the material is so thin and flimsy. It does serve the immediate purpose of keeping birds from getting at the figs but I doubt that I could save the net for next year. The strands of the net are easily torn if you snag it and pull even a little hard. Tender care is essential to preserve the integrity of the net. Good at the reduced price - I would not consider it worth the original price.

Would I buy again , Definitely YES
I finally applied the mesh around my grapes and it seems to be very easy to use unlike some of the other mesh products I have tried. I just laid on top then spread out and attached with clothes pins.

very easy to do
We have blueberry "trees" on our property, birds and deer were helping themselves. My son put these on, very easy to do, and we have already got a couple gallons of nice blueberries, no bird pecks in them. Also have one left for our grape vine, best product yet!

Good pest defense
Built a PVC frame to drape the netting over wife's tomatoes. Kept out the birds and had great tomatoes. Cons-will not keep pterodactyls out of the garden (although I haven't seen any lately).

This looked like exactly what we needed to protect our saskatoons from birds and squirrels. And it worked well until a young robin got caught up in it. It took two of us almost 20 minutes to cut all the netting off the bird. He had wrapped himself up in the netting struggling to get out for a while before we found him. So yes, it works to keep the fruit protected, but I don't want to find a dead bird, which is what would have happened if we hadn't found him in time. I'll look for a tighter netting that a bird can't get stuck in.
