Reliable, durable, and perfect for dry fire practice
These snap caps cycle smoothly, hold up well under repeated dry fire, and feel close to real rounds. Great for practice without worrying about wear on the firing pin.

Great for Training Children
The Pistol Metal Snap Caps for .380 are perfect for training children in gun safety and handling. They provide a realistic experience without the risk of live ammo. My kids can practice trigger control and get comfortable with the feel of a real gun in a safe way. The durability and metal construction make them reliable for multiple training sessions, and I love that they help protect the firearm’s components. These snap caps are an essential tool for introducing children to responsible gun handling.

Great for training and storage.
This is my third set of A-Zooms in different calibers. They are aluminum with a firm rubber/plastic for a primer, and they all feed and eject exactly as they should. If you use these with a magazine, and don't try to do single loads they should last a long time. Single loading will cause damage to the rims as the ejector runs into them, because aluminum isn't as robust as brass. The coloring does not seem to wear on the sides very much, so I've never been concerned about buildup or anything. You will lose some color along any sharp edges like the rim and neck. These are excellent for training and good for storage if you want to drop the hammer/striker on something. The only thing I dislike is the color. It's dark, and difficult to see in a chamber indicator, and the color does not scream "Loaded!" like I think it should for training. I wish they were blaze orange or blue like the plastic training guns. I have wondered if perhaps the color is a good thing, as you don't want to be under the impression that a loaded chamber is always going to be super easy to see. For what it's worth these ones were used in a Taurus Spectrum, and function flawlessly.

Finest Snap Caps Known
Got a .380? Get some of these. Great for shooter training, firearm cleaning, and diagnosing feed issues. These have the EXACT fit and form of factory ammo. Nice resilient insert keeps your firing pin safe. Finest snap caps out there. High quality, durable, and a lifetime purchase in any quantity. Good value for the price.

Good training tool, but with quirks
Good training tool, but with quirks I picked up this 5-pack of .380 Auto metal snap caps mainly for dry fire practice and to help my family members get comfortable with the basics of loading, chambering, and racking a pistol. The all-metal build gives them a solid feel, and they do feed through the magazine and cycle without jamming, which makes them reliable enough for repeated practice sessions. They’re also useful for testing function after cleaning or working on the firearm, since they protect the firing pin from unnecessary wear. That said, the paint on the caps started showing wear pretty quickly, especially around the case mouth and rim where the extractor catches. They still work, but they don’t stay “like new” for long. Also, while they fit and cycle, they don’t perfectly replicate the weight and balance of live rounds, so for someone really trying to match recoil handling, these are more for fundamentals than realism. Bottom line: A handy and inexpensive tool for safe dry fire drills, malfunction practice, and teaching new shooters, though the finish wears faster than I’d like.

These work in my S&W Bodyguard 2.0
Bought a cheaper different brand before. These actually work in my Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0. Perfect functioning. Ejects perfectly. The other brand, I won't mention here would only work for 1 round. This brand FOR THE WIN! The other brand was a complete waste of money. Yeah the cost more but they work.

a great training tool
To be fair and honest, I will use this same review for all the snap caps I have purchased, nothing changes just because the caliber does. Snap caps are an inexpensive tool to use for training your trigger pull and reaction when pulling the trigger of your pistol. Before you take your pistol to the range, throw a few of these caps in pistol and practice squeezing the trigger so you get the feel of how much force you need and where it breaks when firing. Next, place a nickel or dime on the front of the barrel (on a semi-auto, this won't work on revolvers), close to the front site. Find a target to aim at, squeeze the trigger until the hammer fires, all while trying to keep the coin in place. Many people will flinch while pulling the trigger in anticipation of the of the upcoming shot. This practice will help minimize or eliminate this problem. The best part about this practice is you're not wasting ammo at the range, now when you get there you can feel more confident. These caps are used to protect the firing pin from bottoming out in its bore buy absorbing the impact when the trigger is pulled. You don't have to use them, but if you break a firing pin and have to have a gunsmith install a new one, the price for these caps would have been a real bargain.

Important to have
I got these for a little Ruger to practice dry firing. They work well, and are of good quality - along with the peace of mind that I am not damaging my firing pin. They’re a good buy.
