3 way Smart Switch by Martin Jerry, Voice Control via Alexa, Smart Light Switch Works with Google Home, 2.4G Wifi, No Hub, Works with Traditional 3-Way 4-Way Light Switch

This is a great 3 way switch for both 'techies' and not so techies.For full disclosure, I am a techie, who likes to investigate all communication protocols device is using and knowing all tech specs (not just end user functionality). I always bucket things in 'no so good' and 'good' buckets and then decide on overall recommendation.So here goes for this switch..Not so good first :-Most of my home switches are white. This switch has bit of grey colored plexi on front. That makes it stand out a bit among other switches. However, I knew that before purchasing this product and is purely subjective opinion. For some it may be an issue, but for me, not so much.Now the good:-1) If you notice, the wires are clearly labeled so there is absolutely no confusion on which wire goes where. In several other smart switches I have purchased over last couple of years, most of switches require looking at manual on how to hook up these switches. For this one, no manual required.2) Wire nuts are provided as part of package for every single wire. This is a small detail but I am sure like most of households, you don't have spare wire nuts lying around in your garage. So it is a nice gesture on manufacturer's part saving you a trip to local hardware store.3) I asked a question from customer service and they were quick to respond within in a day's time.4) Some of other 3 way smart switches require you have buy pair of matched switches to get 3 way functionality working. However this one requires only 1. Other switch could be your current dumb switch.5) If you are a techie like me and like to push their devices to do bit more, you will be happy to know that this device can be flashed with 'tasmota'. That will provide you MQTT/REST/Haas etc support. If don't know what these mean, then don't worry, you don't need it. Also flashing with tasmota, for all practical purpose, WILL void your warranty on this switch and you will lose google/alexa support. So unless you know what you are doing, stick to regular 'smart life' app (which use tuya infrastructure) and google assitant/alexa to control this (and most of other non-US brand switches/plugs/bulbs).For the people who are saying that they are having issues connecting this switch to wifi or getting app to respond to commands, please check your wifi. If your switch is in a metal box or has some kind of metal plate between router and switch that will impact the wifi signal and you will have issues. That is true regardless of this switch or any other wifi device. This switch needs to be able to talk to your router without any interference otherwise you will have issue.So far I have put it up on wall, and haven't seen any downside. It works fine. Will update this review if things change.

Received 1st switch in January which did not work correctly. Notified the seller and was told that they found out that some of their switches would not work on long runs correctly.(they would blink twice when operating) Was contacted by seller and was told new switches would be shipping at the end of February. Which I received March 4th. Switch works great in a 4 way circuit just be sure to put it at the LINE side of the circuit. Switch that always has POWER at the common screw on switch.(Look for Black screw on switch) Great customer service !!!

I had a unique setup and contacted customer service for help. They were VERY responsive and knowledgable. They worked with me via multiple emails until I was able to solve the problem. To say I am impressed with their customer service would be an understatement. Great product, great price, but EXCELLENT customer service.

Very simple to install and to pair with device, follow the QR code that comes with instructions and it will take you to a couple of YouTube installation videos. Being able to turn on lights remotely is a great positive, no more fumbling with keys at front door in the dark.

The media could not be loaded.  Tight install in boxes if installing multiples. The first one I installed blinked on-off-on when I hit the switch, but Martin Jerry took care of that and sent me a new switch. The new switch works by turning on when hit, but the light it's installed on blinks lightly every 5 seconds or so. The other martin Jerry switches I've installed have not had this issue.Wifi is fair, as I haven't had trouble connecting. Combining my troubles with the lack of a UL listing and I'm not sure if this switch is safe.

Why do it switch on off when you turn it on?

Used to turn on and off pool lights, it was difficult to hook up because there was not any instructions how to hook the three way up

I spent over $4k to put 58 of these in my home - including many dimmers and 3-ways.One year later and nearly half have failed, some lost wifi capability, others provide intermittent and unsafe power to the circuits.Dangerous - do not put these in your home.Martin Jerry support is nonexistent.

Excellent product, so far working as expected...My only issue is that no mentions about the app in the package, lack of instructions or documentation and it took me 30 minutes to research the app.Installation was super easy and I had to open my Amazon order to bring up the wiring picture on this ad (just to tell you how bad it was for me the lack of documentation at all in the package) and even after successfully installing the product and testing it, it literally took me 30 mins to google and find the right app (Smart Life)... and I didn’t feel that contacting support and wait for 4-6 hours as others are saying was a good thing either... I want to do my install in 30 mins without having to contact support for a silly question like "what is the app name". this is something should be easily fixed if a small piece of paper with a QR code or a name of the app to search for...Once I installed the App, everything went very smooth...Also aesthetically, they could have button solid white as opposed to the glossy transparent screen they have on it.
