Worth it
I’ve tried No branded fly boots and nothing holds up like these.

Mare reviewed product approved!
I thought since Athena...my mare...has to wear them...she should write the review. 😋Athena: Oh great...what does she want now? I’m out here in the pasture and I don’t have time for her shenanigans. I’ve only kicked two geldings so far today, I’m way off my usual pace. Oh crap...is that a halter? Ugghhh...it’s totally a halter. And, now we are walking to the corral. Now I’m in captivity against my will! What are those!?! I certainly hope she doesn’t think she’s putting those on me. Well, they are on my front legs...I don’t like this one bit! Now I’m prancing around the corral because there are weird things on my legs. I’m not panicking but she will definitely pay for this on our next ride. They’re pink, so that’s cool I guess. She left me in captivity for 17 hours (actual time 15 minutes) and now she’s opening the gate. I’m back out in the pasture but, the boys (geldings) are all heading for the water trough and then we have our morning nap. Even though I get fly spray everyday...I have had several hoof abscesses over the past 2 years and I’ve pounded my front hooves into pancakes. I’m not sure what’s happening but since she put these shooflys on my legs...I haven’t felt the need to stomp even once. I actually had a good nap. I suffer from sleep deprivation and maybe these things on my legs are allowing me to rest? No...that can’t be it. I must never let her know these might be good for me. She’s been late with breakfast by several minutes at least 3 times this week. Unacceptable doesn’t even cover it! Now...can I still kick the boys (geldings) with these ridiculous things on my legs? Yes! The answer is yes! I’ve been wearing them for about 24 hours now. They are acceptable...I suppose.

Best fly boots ever!
All 3 of my horses wear ShooFly boots. I had to replace them after 2 seasons. They wear them 24/7 for about 7 months. They don't rub and they work great. I throw them in the washing machine a couple times each season.

Love these! Help with flies, reduce hoof stomping
Love these! Purchased a size LARGE and they fit perfectly. Horse is a Friesian/Percheron cross, 16.2h, 1200-1300 pounds, 6 years old, big feet, size 76 blanket.Really help with the flies and reduce hoof stomping—when I tack up, as soon as I take the leggings off he starts stomping his hooves immediately if I don’t use the fly spray quickly enough. When I put them back on, the stomping stops. He much prefers the leggings on!They sit above the coronet band, which is great—they have NOT shredded at the bottom due to overreach. No rubs so far. They've stayed on, even during turnout (and he's quite a playful, young horse). They even helped heal a minor wound—had been slow to heal before the leggings because the flies kept getting at it; also the air flow due to the leggings’ open top aids healing.Would definitely buy these again!

Highly recommend for chipping hooves and fly relief
Best buy ever! My horse was stomping so badly this summer that his feet were cracked and chipping within two weeks of having a fresh trim so I decided to buy fly boots. I was skeptical of these at first because I had never used fly boots before and these are open at the top (rather than snug on the leg), but I went with these based off reviews and they work exceptionally well. As soon as I put them on my horse stopped stomping and his feet stay fresh in between trims. The flies never get in between the boots and horse’s leg and instead seem to be attracted to the boot itself. My horse wears 4 of these 24-7 outside and they have never fallen off or caused wears on his skin. He is 16.1 hands OTTB and a large fits well without slipping down. After seeing mine multiple people at the barn have purchased them and have had similar success

Fly boots work great!
I’ve only had these fly boots for a few weeks, but so far I’m very pleased! They are true to size and the large ones fit my draft mare perfectly! She also hasn’t been able to get them off yet which is huge!

Does not hold up
These did not hold up at all. Had a bit over a month and they are fraying everywhere. Plus they do not clean easily. I’ll continue to use these because my farrier recommends them to prevent excess stomping but, for the price I expected these to hold up much better. They do however stay up nicely.

Rubbed and seriously injured my horse’s back leg. Make sure you check these every day!!
I got these to protect an injury on my horse’s front leg. I didn’t NEED to put all 4 on but I did. They all fit fine, loose enough to move but not enough that they’d come off. A few days later at my farrier appointment, I noticed her back leg was as thick as a tree limb. I took the boot off and inspected and found multiple rub spots that had caused the swelling. I had the vet out the next day and the injury got infected so she’s also on antibiotics, pain meds, and now daily wound cleaning, medicating, and bandaging. Oh and a $400 vet bill. I like these boots but I never expected this to happen. I’m too scared to use them ever again. I think I might submit for a refund to help pay my vet bill. If you buy these and use them, you need to check the fit every single day!!
