Just plugged it in today but so far I'm loving it. I was worried that it wouldn't be as bright as a standard light bulb but it definitely is! I just ordered another one!

I had to think about this one for a while.It's light bulb.You can plug it into any standard socket.From there you can sync it with an app on your phone and you're able to change the color.Not only that you can dim and even make it pulsate in rhythm to music.And it's all coming at you from a conventional light socket.Remarkable. But useful? Yes, for sure!!!So I tested this out in a light fixture that is sticking out of my wall in my home office. I actually had a lot of fun with it. I change it to RED, like the old an old submarine movies. Was able to turn it on and off from my phone without actually turning off the light switch. I've tested a bunch of different LED bulbs in the past but this one is a true standout. I was given this bulb in exchange for my honest review and I'm glad I accepted because this thing is amazing.This is an awesome light bulb. I wish I had the money to buy them for every light socket in my house. This bulb is totally worth the money, even if you just end up using it to freak your kids out or as a disco ball when people come over for a party.Pros:- It comes with a bunch of preset colors built in. The warm setting is close to the warm color of a normal incandescent bulb but just a shade whiter. I really like the color it has on the normal warm setting.- It's built well. The sides of the bulb are thick metal. I could probably drop the bulb and play soccer with it and it would still work. Someone please try this and report back on what happens.- The music setting is great for parties. The bulb will pulse to any music you play.- You can control the brightness level and the color and the speed if changing from one color to another or strobing.- The application comes with 20 presets including strobes, fade from one color to another, and gradual changes across 7 colors. You can also create your own custom functions. I made it so that the bulb will gradually get brighter over an hour to help me wake up in the morning slowly.- Multiple bulbs can be controlled all at once. You could probably make an awesome Christmas light show if you're creative.- The bulb can output 16 million colors. I've yet to figure out if this is true but will report back when I'm done counting each shade.Improvements I'd like to see in the app:- Pandora/Youtube support. I'd love if you could stream music and have the bulb respond. Right now it will only work with music you have downloaded on your phone.Setup Tip:The first thing you need to do after you install the Magic Home app is connect your phone to the bulbs wifi signal. Then you have to give the bulb your wifi password. I typed the password in wrong, the bulb rebooted and I couldn't find it anymore. I thought I was going to have to return the bulb. Google searches returned no information.Here's how to fix it yourself if you fat-finger your wifi password (Android instructions).1) Open the Magic Home application2) Click the little gear icon in the upper left corner of the app.3) Click the Help button at the bottom4) Click "Bulb"5) Click the "How to restore the factory setting..." help topic.6) Follow the instructions. Basically you need to switch the light on and off 4 times. Each time it turns on wait 1-3 seconds before you turn it off. You'll know you did it right because the 4th time it will take longer (20 seconds) to turn on.Overall this is a really fun bulb to play with. I could see it being perfect for parties, but it also doubles as a "normal" bulb when you want it to be. My kids love it. I love it. I think it's a great price and would highly recommend it.

I have had this bulb for about 2 months now and it has done me pretty well. I use this in an environment where I do not have access to wifi, works as a nice alternative to the popular wifi hub systems. While not quite as bright as I was expecting it certainly gets the job done at a fraction of the price of the competitors. The app looks like it would be terrible but it actually works pretty well! Overall solid product.
