- I find the stone, cut it into slabs, cut out the shape and polish the stone in my humble little shop in Arizona. After all of that, I sit down in my studio and hammer the wire to fit the stone. This pendant is made of African Dendritic Agate and hand wrapped in 12 gauge sterling silver wire.
- Agate is the name given to numerous varieties of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. Dendritic Agate, sometimes called Tree Agate, is not banded, and therefore not strictly an Agate in scientific terms but is included in the Agate family. It gets its name from a Greek word meaning tree-like. These Agates are usually colorless, white, or gray, and have tree- or fern-like inclusions of iron or manganese, called dendrites. Less common are green Tree Agates with white dendrites.
- Dendritic Agate is the ideal stone for self-examination, and it will remove your self-imposed limitations and behavior patterns that create your life experiences. It’s a helpful talisman that will aid you in meditation, therapy, and rebirth. My style is simple and elegant and it can be worn by both men and women. Size: 1 3/4" x 7/8".
