I can't recommend the Seeding Square tool highly enough – it's truly a game-changer! If you're gardening with young children, this tool is an absolute must-have. I've always been a fan of square foot gardening. Recently I have incorporated it into my work as a School Garden Coordinator. I work with seven elementary schools, delivering garden-based lessons and assisting with garden planting and maintenance. Square foot gardening is an excellent technique for maximizing produce yields across all of the uniquely sized school gardens. However, getting young students to accurately plant seeds using rulers has always been a challenge. I've experimented with various methods like twine grids, chopsticks, seed tape, and cardboard templates, but none have provided the accuracy needed. I've often found myself spending countless hours after school replanting seeds to ensure proper spacing and depth. The Seeding Square has been a revelation. It's sturdy, easy to secure in the garden bed, and features color-coded holes that correspond to an easy-to-use guide. Even kindergarteners can easily plant seeds correctly with this tool! This is great! Makes planting Carrot and onion easy and organized. I put 300 carrot and 120 onion in the beds in about an hour with this. In my 4x12 raised bed I went through and I laid the entire grid for planting and then I went back and just drop seeds into everything by finger then coverd it and watered. Little punch stick with a depth gauge really makes getting the correct seed depths easy.

The Seeding Square was recommended in a gardening group I'm in and since one of my garden goals this year is to start everything from seed, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. It's a total game changer! At first glance it doesn't look like it warrants it's price tag, but every element is simply genius and functional. Most simple things are, right? The square itself is 1x1, made of a sturdy, durable plastic and has four finger holes to easily pick it up after you're done seeding. I absolutely love the color-coded planting guide! It's easy to understand, and a real time saver if you struggle with spacing. This is my new favorite garden tool!

This gardening tool is a great idea. It gives you clear guidance on how to plant seeds in your home garden. We will be using it in our raised bed vegetable garden boxes this Spring. It is a simple plastic square with very helpful information. For the novice or non-expert, it is a good tool at a good price. Good value. I recommend.

Now that we are well into gardening season, I can't say enough good things about this seed square. I'm a new gardener and this tool has made my novice efforts so much better. I have a squarefoot garden so it's perfect. The color coding on this tray works wonderfully with all the planning and strategy for the squarefoot garden. The color coding was my favorite characteristic of this tool because if a vegetable calls for a specific number of plants per square foot, you can easily look to see which spacing (aka color) is best suited for it. It's simple enough that my daughters can help and it adds a fun element to planting. It comes with a dibber and funnel too. The dibber fits perfectly into the marked holes while the funnel is attached. It has measurements on the side to poke holes the proper depth. It also has a seed scoop on the opposite end of the dibber which made it much easier to work with smaller seeds. The funnel turned out to be very useful as well. It's easy to lose seeds, so it's nice that they fell right in to where they needed to go. New and experienced gardeners may find a "soil blocker" useful as well for your inside spring starters. It's a contraption that punches your moist soil into cubes. There's different size blocks you can get. The one I found had dibber attachments so it prepped the blocks perfectly. It prevents your plants from getting root bound in their containers during the early germination phase because you don't put them in containers. I put the soil blocks in trays under grow lights and bottom watered. Just search "soil blocker".

Excellent product. I have bought 4 of these seeding square's as I belong to a gardening group, to give confidence to people who want to learn how to grow their own veg. This product takes the guess work out of how deep or at what space should I plant the seeds. I highly recommend these seeding square's for square foot gardening.

Easy to use and definitely increases production and better spacing of seedlings

Definitely worth the buy. It's sturdy and well made. I was able to maximize the output of my garden by using this. It's definitely my go-to tool for planting now!
