A great comic story in an amazing package
Firstly I was taken aback by the fantastic quality of this edition, and normally I don't care about that too much just give me the book, but the size and weight and gloss and the hardcover is just greatFortunately it's in service to a great comic. It's like a proper continuation of the show and the last comic Turf War (which you should probably read or just be ready accept the developments at the beginning) focusing mostly on Kuvira which I really liked. It explores her backstory and development and mindset and it's all rather interestingIt does have the unfortunate side effect of pushing most of Team Avatar to the background (essentially Mako who I can't really think of a thing he did) but they've had their own plots I guessArt is really good, action works well, characters feel like they're pulled straight outta the show, it's a definite recommend

Amazing Story. Plenty of Beautifully iLLustrated Panels.
I like that Avatar, Legend of Korra (ALoK) has a more mature approach and theme to their story line. Every character, friend or foe, can stand on their own as a main protagonist. It is also impressive that good dialogue and careful planning carries the story, than just action scenes of crude force to resolve dilemmas. Many beautifully illustrated panels that make the story flow seamlessly. My Thanks to all those involved with this Magnificent Book.

Even better than Turf Wars!
I really enjoyed Ruins of the Empire. I loved the plot and the animation in this series is so so good, almost as close to the look of the show as you could possibly get. Kudos to the artist on all fronts. The book is thick and crisp and the image quality is spectacular. Give us a third series and more! Can't get enough Korra

Must buy for any Korra fan
I already had thia comic in the volumes but really enjoyed the library edition of Turf Wars, so it just made sense to buy this library edition. It makes reading the comic even better with the bigger pages and the story is great too.

Reading this comic trilogy felt like watching three new episodes of Korra!
The Avatar comics have all been incredible so far, but Ruins of the Empire completely blows them all out of the water. Written by series co-creater Michael DiMartino himself, this comic feels like the perfect continuation to Legend of Korra. The story doesn't feel like filler; this is an actual important story to the world of the show. We get to see more character development from Kuvira and deal with the immediate aftermath of the fall of the Earth Empire in Book 4.Reading this comic trilogy felt like watching three new episodes of Korra! Highly recommend..Also, note that the Korra comic Library Editions are slightly smaller in width than the Avatar library editions (the same in height, though). I included some pictures you can see the size comparison. Honestly, I prefer this new size; the comic pages are bigger now and you don't have that empty space in the margins.

I’m impressed!
This is my first library edition, and it’s gorgeous! I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth. To start, the story is amazing. The book feels extremely durable. The pages are thick. The colors and text are so crisp. The sketches in the back are awesome! I’m in love with this book. It really is fantastic!
