This is a good portable ladder for reaching higher places. Would not use for working long, difficult jobs. Rungs are not very wide to support feet like a step ladder. Ladder collapses to a small size for easy portability. I weigh 200 pounds .

I purchased this 12.5’ telescopic ladder over a year ago based on a lot of outstanding reviews and positive feedback. As a consumer, I rely on these reviews and comments that people leave, I generally find them extremely helpful. I mainly used the ladder to get on the roof of our RV to perform routine maintenance and repairs. For about 18 months the ladder worked great, no problems at all, I loved it! I felt safe using it, it was light weight, portable, and completely worked as advertised. Unfortunately, the first time I used it this Spring, I was unable to retract the ladder back to its original size. After a closer inspection, I noticed that one of the locking rung clips must had broken which prevented the ladder from fully extending and retracting back to its original size. I was completely devastated that something had broken, I really loved the ladder as it worked great for what we used it for. I knew the ladder was out of warranty, but I decided to contact the company (Ohuhu) anyway to see if there was something that could be done to either fix it or have it replaced. I contacted the company via the telephone number provided and left a message. I could not believe it, but I actually received a call back later that same day from the company asking how they could assist me, WOW! The very nice Customer Support Rep suggested that I send an email to their customer support department explaining the issue, which I promptly did. The next day I received an email back from Ohuhu customer support acknowledging my original email. Over the next several days, the Customer Support Rep. (Niki) and I exchanged emails back and forth trying to resolve the issue. I really did not know how this was going to turn out since the product was out of warranty, but to my surprise, the company offered to send me a replacement ladder at no charge stating that I was a valued customer to them and they wanted to make it right, YES! The next day I received an email from customer support (Niki) indicating that the replacement ladder was shipped and that I should receive the new one in a few days. Just as promised, I received the new ladder yesterday in perfect condition, and everything works great! I am so thankful to Ohuhu and their customer support team, when I originally bought the ladder, I never realized that it also came with caring people, outstanding customer service, and a company that truly stands behind their product!A very happy and satisfied customer.

Very solid and I love the one button controlled collapse. Much easier than having to collapse each step individually!

My first order for a telescoping ladder was a no-name 14 1/2 foot model. It was advertised as "one hand close," but that didn't prove true. I needed one to extend over the top pf my travel trailer, and it barely made it. Sent it back. When the Ohuhu arrived, the first thing that I noticed was that the shipment container had more padding. The owner's manual was a real booklet not one sheet of paper with pictures that didn't match. Next, I lifted the 12 1/2 foot ladder and found it was heavier than the one that was two feet taller. That told me that the metal used to make it was thicker and stronger (no wiggle). As for the closing mechanism, it worked flawlessly with both the red tabs and the bottom switches. Oh, and it went well over the roof of my trailer. Add to all these qualities the stories by other buyers about the dedicated customer support, and you know you have a winner.

I bought this to use with my camper van and my pickup with a camper shell, in order to wash the tops of the vehicles as well as reach things from a Rocket Box on top. This telescoping ladder is heavier than I anticipated and is difficult to extend the upper 4 rungs of the ladder while clicking on the two side notches while telescoping it upwards. I needed to lay it down to extend those upper portions. It isn't ideal, and probably is not an issue with the 10.5 foot ladder. However, in reality, my Camper Van is just a hair under 9 feet tall, and to be able to get above the top edge would be problematic with the 10.5 foot ladder, instead of the 12 footer I chose. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or not. When I initially posted my review, the company contacted me and said they'd be more than happy to give me a refund. Kudos to them, and the fact they actually read the reviews and offer assistance. I have worked out the "kinks" to my satisfaction and will keep it. Laying it on the ground to get those extra rungs of the ladder up isn't convenient, but the product ascends and descends properly. I'm not a 98 lb. weakling, but I doubt there's anything else out there that is as sturdy as this, or stows as compactly. I can fit it in the back of the Campervan easily enough and also in my pickup with a camper shell, and not lose valuable space. If they could reduce the weight and maintain structural integrity and ease of raising all rungs, I would have given it a 5.
