BEST VALUE FOR THE PRICE
Great drum throne, did a lot of research on drum thrones. was watching Drumeo’s Kyle Rodomsky he was explaining all the things that important in excellent drum throne, and I realized that to get a lasting drum throne it needs to have a what they call the spider, which is in the bottom of the seat which is to keep the throne from breaking in half, and another important thing is that the metal is one piece meaning it’s not a tube, only a actual thick Piece of metal, and the metal from the legs is very thick, so that takes care of that and for the price of researching and there’s not anything really for excellent for the price And other great the thing about the throne thing is that it’s a motor style on the throne which is very comfortable and looks beautiful,I highly recommend it, and from gibralter which makes quality gear.

Best Throne out there guys
I played a Gibraltar moto style throne for 20 years and love it. As a seasoned drummer, I needed an extra throne to keep at rehearsal site, so picked this one up. This one measures 16" across the seat and 3 1/2 inches thick at the rear of the seat (like my old throne) and is extremely comfortable and pro-quality all the way. Plenty of cushion, I'm sure this one will last for 100 years. Not sure who said "felt like a couple of towels on piece of wood" but for my 200 lbs, this one is very cushy and firm at the same time, and Gibraltar quality equals my old seat with a couple improvements. The double braced stand is beefy and the lock is a better design than the cast lock on my old seat. And the memory lock if you choose to use is a nice feature. This is not a light weight throne but has mass where you need it. BTW, I also have Roc n Sok round padded heavy duty throne that I paid much more $$ for, but still prefer the Gibraltar moto style. For the $110 price point, hard to beat. Don't think about it, just pick this one up.

AWESOME THRONE and Comfort For the players with sore Ass
I've owned this Gibraltar 9608M motorcycle style throne for a litte over a week now. I can't say anything negative about it.. It's super comfy for the tush it will not make your ass feel sore like some other thrones... (The king of Ass Comfort) it's like sitting on a cloud. I like the strudy design also love the spin height adjustment instead of the cheaper thrones that don't have this.. I will probably buy another one of these to have on hand as a backup should this workhorse ever fail.... Overall I am completely satisfiied with throne I am 6" 7" and weigh 175 pounds Throne held my weight without any problems...I would had given this review a 10/10 but It gets a 9 because I had a slight hassle figuring out how to secure the throne post with it spinning when sitting...

the throne is fine. I'm using it for church praise band
So far, the throne is fine. I'm using it for church praise band. I have a Roc and Soc at home and needed something not as expensive to leave at church. I know Gibraltar for their quality and build. This throne does seem sturdy and well made. It is comfortable too and not difficult to raise or lower. Once it's where you want it, use your drum key to lock it into position. I recommend this Gibraltar for someone looking for weekend warrior gigging, or church situations where you're not going to be using it several nights a week, week in, week out. Then I'd prefer my Roc and Soc for durability and comfort. I'm not degrading the Gibraltar. I'd buy this one again for my needs, and I do recommend it. I think it's a very good four star throne.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
The whole thing is a little heavy. This throne comes with bolts that use a standard drum key to tighten, but no drum key is supplied with it. The seat and metal parts are sturdy, which is good. The seat is firm and supportive, which is good. If you are looking for an all-leather seat, this is not it. The seat fabric is some fuzzy, fake velvet-like stuff. The biggest problem I have with this product is that the rubber feet smell horrible. They must be off-gassing some nasty, toxic stuff into my home. I am sure that they are toxic. I fear that this product will give me cancer. Have you ever tried to jam out with a tumour? I have tried to wash the rubber feet in various degreasers/detergents but the feet still smell bad. If no windows are open, the odor fills the entire house within a day. Hopefully this goes away soon. In the meantime, this $109.88 chair stays in the garage and not the music room. Musicians need clean air to breath. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gibraltar 9608M Professional Moto Throne
I had to make a decision between this and the over sized Gibraltar Throne. Just because I couldn't find a deal with reasonable shipping costs to Australia I took that one.I am happy with it, although I would have preferred the over sized one for a bit more padding. Concerning this one is quite a bit cheaper - it is a good deal.Solid build quality in every detail. Very heavy (what I think is a good thing)Recommended.

Not just for drummers.
This seat is not only for drummers. My nephew is a drummer and I need a seat for target shooting. He showed me this seat and it is perfect for my application. The seat is comfortable and a nice size. The stand is very sturdy with hardware that locks up solid. There is a locking ring so once the seat height is set it can be locked and if changed it can be returned with ease.
