BELLONA Functional Sofa in A Box (Indigo Blue)

I bought this couch in a box to put into my basement. The stairway to the basement is narrow as is and includes a 90 degree turn at the landing into an even more narrow door. Trying to figure out how to get anything beyond chairs or expensive modular seating into the pathways available proved to be a challenge so I figured I'd try this option.It arrived today - so this review does not speak to long term value or durability. With that said, the box is heavy - yet easy enough to slide with one person, but most likely will need 2 people if needing to go up stairs, etc. It really does set up in 5 minutes. A couple of screws to mount the legs (which are indeed plastic), flip it over, and you're done.Once set up, the function is nice. I can confirm what another reviewer stated in that this is a cross between a low-end/decent couch and the nicest futon you've seen. The couch is firm - think of the firmness of a waiting room couch (might break in a bit with use). Fabric seems durable - I have w kids under 12, so time will tell. All in all - the couch in box fit my immediate needs (which was as simple as fit in the pathways available). At $499, it is a little pricey for a glorified futon - but you're really paying for the convenience/function/transport flexibility which seems acceptable given my other challenges and options to overcome said challenges. I read all of the reviews and information prior to purchase and was surprised to find the legs are plastic. The couch is comfortable, easy to set up, etc like everyone else is saying. The legs being plastic was very unexpected after all of their writing about quality and saying the couch is capable of roughhousing by kids. The drawers are MDF and one cracked from skewing the in plastic legs. The blue color is in fact more indigo than the pictures shown here.

This Bellona sofa is so functional and super comfortable. We turned it to a bed and my friend slept on it for a week. There even is a big storage space which I wasn't aware of when I ordered it. It's a couch in a box not parts in a box literally it took 2 person like 5 minutes to take it out of the box and assemble it, just so easy. I'm loving it. This couch changed my entire room. It fit perfectly and added color.

My husband & my young sons put the couch together in a few short minutes. E.g. attach arms & sections, legs & support leg.Voila! A very comfy place for all to sit. Material feels soft & durable. Color true to online photos. Seats 3-4 ppl. Storage space underneath was put to good use. We are loving this new addition to our apt!

It's fine. It's not great not bad, just fine. It's firm. Really firm. Easy to setup and out the sides on.

The box was so battered when it was arrive I was just thankful it was in one piece! It was dirty and stained when it arrived and one of the metal slots for sliding on the arm is so bent that it is impossible to get the one of the arms on! It has the potential to be a good couch—seems comfy enough, easy to put together, and cute for a small space. However, it’s storage/transit completely undermines that potential. Disappointed.

Even being wrapped up in plastic the couch arrived extremely dusty. The quality of the couch is ok at best, but definitely not worth the 499 I paid. I found a comparable couch on Ashley furniture website for 249. This couch isn’t very comfortable and the fabric is rough. It is very heavy and to ship it back would be extremely difficult. I emailed the seller with concerns and no response. Look elsewhere first before buying this couch
