Highly Recommended Portable Dryer
After testing it out on my bed sheets and comforter, I can attest that this dryer is fairly exceptional. I did the sheets and queen size comforter as two different loads, but it dried them just as fast, if not faster than a normal dryer. I will add though, that I had to open up the back and examine a loud noise after putting the comforter in. What I ended up discovering was that a piece of foil tape that was covering a sensor wire in the exhaust had come off partially and the air was making it create a strange screeching noise. After securing the tape and reassembling, the noise was gone, and the machine was functional as normal. At first I thought it broken immediately under the weight of a queen size comforter, but alas, it was a little piece of tape making a sound. The comforter dried in less than 30 minutes, which is phenomenal for this portable dryer. I will state that my portable washer is about as big as they come before being normal sized and it has a very good spin cycle, so that certainly helps. I would highly recommend this little dryer. I actually ordered a 3.5cu from an alternative (generic) brand for about the same price, but it arrived beat to absolute hell and wouldn't function, so I returned it immediately and opted for this Black and Decker brand. While it is smaller than a 3.5cu, it absolutely will get the job done, and potentially better than the generic brand 3.5cu. If anything, get the Black and Decker 3.5cu if you want bigger, but I think the 2.6cu is plenty enough. This little 2.6cu arrive in mint condition as well, which is always nice. I feel like it is hit or miss when ordering big appliances on Amazon. Guess I won the lottery.

Excellent Dryer for 120V & Small Spaces
I had been looking for years for a decent and affordable replacement for my 20+ year old Kenmore 120V dryer that came with my condo. I had just about given up until I took a chance on this Black & Decker stackable - based on all the positive reviews. I guess if you're used to a full-sized 240V dryer you will not appreciate how great this little powerhouse is! Yes, it has a smaller capacity, and yes, larger loads and heavier items take awhile to dry. But to get this much heat and functionality and this many setting options from such a small footprint is amazing. It has SIGNIFICANTLY cut my drying time on all load sizes and it runs much quieter than my old guy. Originally I found the controls a bit confusing - I was used to the timer setting and the on/off knobs being separate - but once I figured those out, all was fine. I also upgraded to a better bucket style indoor dryer vent kit to catch the outgoing air and lint, and took others' advice and added some nylon stocking material around the top vent holes which works perfectly to reduce the amount of lint dust that escapes. The only drawback, as others have said, is the location of the controls at the very bottom of the machine. Unfortunately due to where I need to store it, I'm not able to stack it on a rack above the washer as per the design. It would really be great if the manufacturer offered both top and bottom control options, rather than assume we're all going to stack it. But I did the next best thing and bought the adjustable appliance stand others recommended - got the 8-leg option that raises it up off the floor about 9-10 inches - not perfect, but definitely a little easier to see and reach the controls and when reaching into the way back of the tub to remove the lint filter for cleaning. I also like that the stand allows room for the air to circulate around the dryer, and that it even creates a little extra storage space underneath. Can't speak to the longevity yet, but so far I am genuinely thrilled with this purchase and cannot thank the Amazon community enough for taking time to write such helpful reviews that convinced me to take a chance on this great little machine! Do not hesitate if you need a space-saving 120V dryer!!

DO NOT BUY – Insanely Loud, Garbage!!
This dryer is absolute garbage! It produces an insanely loud, unbearable mechanical noise that makes it impossible to use in a normal home. This is not “dryer noise.” It sounds like internal failure and is loud enough to disturb an entire apartment. Running it is miserable. Even worse is the complete refusal by Black & Decker to take responsibility. After providing proof of purchase and documentation, they dismissed the issue solely because the warranty had just expired — despite the fact that this is clearly a manufacturing or durability defect, not wear and tear. They offered no repair, no replacement, no goodwill, and redirected me back to Amazon, knowing full well Amazon cannot help outside the return window. That leaves the customer stuck with a defective, unusable appliance. This product should not be sold. If you live in an apartment, condo, or anywhere near other humans, do not buy this unless you want constant noise and zero support when it fails. I will never buy another Black & Decker appliance again.

Works great, dries efficiently... perfect for 2 adults!! Needs to sit on something high enough so control panel easier to reach & put cardboard or anything skid-proof underneath or it mite slide a little...

I've been rack-drying my laundry for the past couple of years - and quite happily, even if it did take a long time and took up a lot of space - so this is like super-luxury for me. Now that I have it, I don't know how I lived with out it, to be honest. It's much bigger than I pictured, even though I knew the measurements - consequently now i have to find a better place for it. Don't misunderstand - i'm thrilled, just a little taken aback by the size. I mean, when I saw the box it came in and that poor Amazon Delivery fellow struggling down my hallway with it, I thought maybe I'd ordered the wrong one. I could fit inside that box, and i'm a pretty big guy. Any way, size concerns out of the way, it's amazing. I love it. I did a "test" dry of five t-shirts, six pairs of underwear, and four pairs of socks and it took just under an hour. That may sound like a long time, but unless you're sitting watching it spin, it goes by pretty fast - and it's MUCH faster than drying on a rack. As for noise - it made noise, but nothing I found terribly irritating, just regular white noise, and with my headphones on I didn't hear a thing. One less star for ease of use - only because it took me a minute to realize what the "universal" symbols on the "auto-sense" feature meant. I had the option between O and _ . After reading the manual, I now know that O (obviously, apparently) stands for "ON". For ECO mode there's a Leaf and a T-Shirt which I figured out pretty quickly, but for some reason O and _ had me stumped. Let this be my gift to you all - O means ON. TLDR: It's bigger than you might realize unless you're good at visualizing sizes (clearly I'm not) and while the buttons may mildly confuse a cabbage-brain like mine, this is a fantastic machine and I love it to bits.
