This product does fit letter sized hanging folders! When assembling the bottom drawer, there are two bars that are inserted into the sides. The front one, and the back two fit either legal or letter size depending on which you choose. Since everything is screwed in with no glue, you can change it in the future, but it would be quite a pain more than likely.Onto the actual product! It is quite sturdy and I am quite pleased. The box is insanely heavy and I was unable to move, lift, or even drag it myself. My boyfriend needed to move it for me. I set up most things in the living room, as that had more space, and then moved individual pieces to the office where it would stay. Each piece was not difficult to move by themselves and I was able to do it by myself in about 3-4 hours quite easily. The directions are vague and tend to include multiple steps in one image. There are very little words. Be warned that the parts list is not to scale at all. The picture of the 2" screw is smaller than the picture of the 1/2" screw. If you have built a few tables/furniture then it's quite easy and pretty straightforward.The shelves are remarkably sturdy and strong. The pegs are solid metal and the shelves have cutouts on them which locks them in place and is much more sturdy than just resting on top of a flat peg. In the upper shelf of the large book case, I have a bin filled with fabric and a decent sized printer. The bottoms of the drawers, though, do seem like they wouldn't hold much weight, but as they are smaller drawers, I don't see this as a huge issue.Overall, I really love this desk and think it is very high quality for the price range. Plus it looks great from all sides, and my cat really loves the box.

I wanted to make sure that I left a review, because I could not find ANY reviews for this desk anywhere on the internet.I am glad that I bought this desk. The price I paid to Wayfair was also significantly cheaper than the same desk in a brown color that multiple other vendors wanted. The desk shipped quickly. Additionally, it was very well packaged. The box was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap as well as packing tape. The box was HUGE but I was able to get it into the house (I am a below-average strength female) on my own. The desk itself was boxed so that the underside of the wood faced outward, so that if there were any scratches, it would not be visible. In fact, there was a gouge in the box which resulted in a dent in the wood on the underside of what ended up being the main desk surface, but it is 100% invisible once assembled and does not effect the structural integrity of the desk, so there was no reason to worry about it. The fact that the desk was so well packaged was very important. If you buy this desk from another source, I would question their shipping methods - if this desk had been shipped just simply in the box and NOT given an additional layer of bubble wrap, I am sure that the desk would not have arrived in such great shape.This desk is very attractive. Worth noting is that this product description calls it a "corner desk". It is actually an L-shaped desk. What I mean by this is that there is no unfinished backside that you need to worry about going against a wall. This desk is in the middle of the room I put it in, and it looks very fine from all sides!Also, my husband put this desk together for me. It took him 3-4 hours, and he did it alone. He mentioned that the instructions were very well written, and although it has an Ikea-style dowel assembly, it came out very sturdy. Normally when he puts furniture together, I hear cursing and grumbling, but he was able to turn the television on and put this desk together without any headaches.Also not listed here is that the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet has a metal rod on each end to hang long files from. Bonus!Overall, I say 5 stars because it is a lovely desk and $315 was a fair price, especially with free shipping.EDIT: I have this desk in white. I noticed that quite a few other people have made comments that they purchased this desk and it arrived in very bad shape. Notice that the "ships from" is different depending on which color desk you get. My desk shipped from Wayfair, it arrived quickly, and it was EXTREMELY well packaged. It appears that the other shipper doesn't do such a great job, but my desk arrived with every possible precaution having been taken to ensure that it arrived in great shape. It is two months later and I am still extremely pleased.Also, let me add - if you are like me and had the great idea that you would want to use white cube-baskets from Ikea in the shelves, let me warn you: they won't fit! I would buy them again, but think the manufacturer does need rework it's packaging for mail order deliveries. Her desk arrived completely undamaged, mine had slight damage that did not impact functionality.TL:DR version:It's good and I'd buy it again. I like the color, and the design, in general.
