Start with the wide in your true length
I initially grabbed two pairs of the Columbia Men's Crestwood Hiking Boots in Shark/Columbia Grey (regular and wide sizes) at $70 sale price. I grabbed these shoes because I was in need of a good winter/fall/spring comfortable casual shoe for walking that could still be workplace presentable, (there is trail near my current workplace). The shoes actually look nicer than I anticipated and should work nicely for their intended purpose. I may switch out the insole for something a little thicker at some point. Otherwise, everything seems to be good quality for the price. Regarding the sizing: The length is true to size for me. I typically wear 11.5 and that is true here. After having tried both wide and regular sizing, the wide version is much more comfortable while not feeling loose, whereas the regular size was just a little too tight all over, especially toward the toes and upper foot. I'm glad I ordered both to try. I don't think you'd go wrong starting in wide and working your way down if needed, unless your foot is on the narrow side of regular.

Great Everyday Wear For Fall & Winter
Very comfortable to wear all day in an office or for short- to medium-length outdoor walks. Be aware that Columbia shoes tend to be narrower in the mid-foot and toe box areas. If you wear wide shoes (like I do), it is probably a good idea to order a wide-size and one shoe-size higher than you might usually wear (even if you don't plan on wearing thicker socks. I did exactly this and have had a great experience with these shoes! I've worn them in post-snow conditions and trust them to maintain grip & traction when either slick or slippery. When wearing them in cold weather, with thicker socks, my feet did not get too hot or cold either. They were also very inexpensive! Great all-around shoe!

Good quality, but very narrow
I've been wearing Columbia hikers for years, and I'm quite happy with the quality and comfort of these. However - I've always purchased regular width but thought this time I'd try "wide" to have a little extra space. I didn't know if they were mislabeled or what but "wide" they certainly are not. They are actually much narrower than the regular width I've always purchased previously. The sides just barely reach the sides of the tongue - they're usable, but only by a hair.

Roomy, light, good traction
Mild bunions, a susceptibility to plantar fasciitis, and ridiculous linear growth over the decades (from size 10.5 to size 13 since 1970) have all made my feet finicky. Shoes that seem fine for two days often pose problems later. After seven days' hiking---4.2 miles a day over mostly rocky, uneven ground---these shoes are still comfortable. If they continue accommodating my feet and also hold up well, lasting six months or more, they will be the best bargain in shoes I've ever bought. Update, May 16, 2025: I have now worn these shoes on at least 260 days, putting about a thousand miles on them. The heals are showing wear, and the lace on one shoe required replacement, but otherwise the shoes are in fine condition. They should be good for at least five months more. They have never hurt my feet. 9/30/25: The attached photos show one shoe from the almost unused pair next to one from the pair that has now seen a year and about 1,300 miles on mostly stony trails. You can see the wear, top and bottom. But I expect to get at least three more months out of the first pair.

Best fit shoe
Love these shoes. No breaking in comfort right out of the box. These are my second pair of Columbia shoes and these did not disappoint. Could not recommend any higher.

Comfortable and supportive hiking boots
These boots are comfortable right out of the box and didn’t require much break-in time. They provide good support and traction on trails and uneven ground. They feel lightweight for hiking boots while still offering stability. Fit is true to size, and materials feel durable. Excellent boots for hiking and outdoor use.

Great for hiking
I have had these shoes for some time now and I love them! They are lightweight and high quality. I've done 15mi+ in a day with these and they've been great. They're breathable. Maybe a little stiff, but very supportive.

Y no me venía ninguno... Y los 12.5 US me apretaban demasiado.
