Fury Sure Thrower Set of 3 Carbon Steel Throwing Knives, 6.5-Inch

This was one of the first sets of throwers that i got on here, and once again, I'm proud to be in ownership of yet another fine product from FURY.I've been buying knives from them over 20 years and they make top notch products every time.The only con about these knives is that the string they're wrapped in comes undone after only a few throws, and despite what others have said, I've noticed myAccuracy decline when trying to throw them unwrapped.So what I did was re wrap them with nylon string and made it a lighter color so they'd be easier to find.It worked wonders.Everyone is different but this particular set, has been my favorite and the one I'm most accurate with.Also I don't believe in throwing knives by making them rotate in the air. That method is far less accurate and won't do any good in a self defense situation. Even though these knifes are considered relatively small, they can still be thrown spear style ( meaning it never turns more than 90 degrees before striking) with devastating power and accuracy from as far as 15 feet.- in most self defense scenarios you are between 6 and 12 feet from your attacker. Any closer than 6 feet and you should be back pedaling if you intend to throw to defend yourself. If you choose to engage your attacker (which I don't recommend) then you may not be as confident in your throwing skill as you should be. Most Knife fights usually end in someone dying and the other going to the hospital. They aren't fun at all. There's nothing glamorous about it.Anyways the sheath is decent, Velcro strap is fine, and as I stated earlier, the blades are perfectly balanced, with a good thickness to them, and a tip sharp enough but not too sharp (because super sharp tips bend and break)I've thrown these at my targets and the tips hit concrete when I miss or when the knife goes thru the target, and these things don't have a scratch on them.Very durable and a great deal! I'm waiting for a second set.I hope this review is helpful, I have reviews for many other throwers that I've found to be particularly effective.

In previous reviews a common complaint is that only the knife tips have been sharpened. I don't know if the manufacturer had seen those reviews and thought twice about their blades or if they just decided to start making better quality knives but the knives I recieved were excellent quality. Well balanced, a sharper than average blade (for a knives bought online), and a lethal tip, each one of these knives are of extremely high quality for the price which they are sold. Great knives for beginners and experts at a wonderful price.

i recieved these knives a day or two late but it wasnt a big problem. lets get to some of the good and bad things about theses knives.pros-CHEAP.very lightthe end is pretty sharp(this is only for beginners) the side of the knife is not sharp at all so its very safe and should only be used for throwing.cons-(for more experienced people) side isnt sharp at allthe string came off about a week after i got it.the tip may break if hit at the wrong angle.i would recommend this to a begiiner who wants to try it and doesnt want to spend a whole lot of money.

These knives are good for a beginner at knife throwing. The sheath it comes in is simple it has a loop on the back for attaching it to your belt. The string wrap on the handles comes off after a few throws, this does not affect the throwing of the knives in any way. The pros are that the almost always stick in the target ( I use 3/4 in plywood, and trees), they are fine for close distances but more than 15 ft and they do not have enough weight to stick without a lot of force behind them. The cons are that they are very small, on my hand they are from the top of my middle finger to the base of my palm. Because they are so small they are very light and as I already mentioned this means that distance throws are very difficult. For the price they are fine and would make a good gift for anyone interested in knife throwing.

sharp and balanced for throwing.

I got What i asked for. A pair of throwing Knives of very good quality. They are great, and were the Size i Expected. I got mine in almost perfect condition. All i had to do was wash the blades and boom perfect condition. The Straps for the handles will fall off in time. But you can put them back on easy. I suggest these for Anyone who wants to train at throwing knives. They fit into a normal pocket with the holster. They are Very transportable. They are not sharp, but a knife sharpener can fix that sharp.you really dont need them sharp because the tips are very pointy.Greatest 5 Dollars i spent on weapons from amazon. (because its my first weapon Purchase) I got BETTER then i expected so you will love it.

This product came relatively fast, however its made of 440 steel which is very very soft compared to the throwing knife standard 1075 gauge steel, the thread handle Freas even under the force of your hand throwing it, I tried them on a soft pine wood log throwing them into the grain and all three were bent only after a handful of throws and the handle on all three was stripped by then, also they are EXTREMELY DULL. i strongly recommend you do not wast your time with this product other than that they make a decent decoration.

While a nice thrower, the coolest thing about these compared to the competition is that clove has these exact knives in the hunger games. When i brought the kids to watch the hunger games, i saw the part where she throws knives into the lizard around the fire Im like "hey wait, she never took the wrappings off they don't fly as well with them on." Then i realized where movie producers get their props. Anyway this is a awesome knife for beginner throwers and even as I've advanced I still use these and like everything about them except the excuse for a sheath they come with.I wonder if clove was aware that with the original sheath she was endangering herself?
