These are completely hand-painted if food-safe lead-free paint and you'll notice that every, single, plate is every so slightly different. The master artisan used a simple sponge technique which give the painting a freeform, almost water-color look, and hand-added the finishing touches to the fish(es) themselves. The plates themselves are made from twice-fired kaolin clay, and kiln-heated to just the right temperature for a perfect feel. These plates are perfect casual diningware, but can also be paired for a more formal setting. These dishes are microwave and dishwasher safe.
