A bypass is created when additional elements are to be integrated into the existing circuit of your swimming pool (such as heat pump, pool solar system, etc.) Thanks to the bypass, the water flow for the heat pump, solar system or other elements can be regulated. Most swimming pool heat pumps have a flow monitoring (flow switch). If the water flow is too low or too high, the heat pump will automatically shut off to avoid damage to expensive equipment. Now the bypass set comes into play. This makes it possible to control or optimise the water flow with the ball valves. A solar system (pool solar mat, absorber, solar panel) also benefits from the use of a bypass set, because it is not always desirable that the solar system, which was mostly installed behind the filter system, is flows through with water. This is, for example, the case if the temperature in the pool has already been reached or if you have to run the filter system on covered, cool days without having to put the solar system into operation.
