Kai 7150 Embroidery/Sewing scissors 6, 150 mm, Scissors

This scissor is amazing! It is very sharp even at the edges and you don’t need to try hard to cut out the fabrics even heavy ones. It is very smooth and light! I am working on bridal gown and this scissor is makes my work easier. It is pricey but it worth it to get if you are sewing every day.

I am satisfied with the scissors' sharpness, quality, and ease of use. As a left handed user with larger fingers I find the scissors comfortable to hold and use. The joint is tight, but not overly so, making it easy to preform cuts with accuracy. They are lighter then most solid Italian or German scissors in the same price range making them great for extended use. A worthwhile purchase even though they are pricey. Highly recommended!

Don't give many reviews on products, but every now and then I get pretty impressed with a products engineering, quality and function. If my opinion matters that much to anyone, don't look for some shears better than these. You'll be waisting your time. I see now why so many people put stunning high reviews on these. If you know anything about quality high carbon kitchen knives, just say these shears are in that category of quality and craftsmanship. And no I don't work for this company nor am I getting paid to write this. I was a bit hesitant to purchase a set, but now I'm thinking I might have made a mistake not ordering the set of 7000 series. To be honest, I was only buying these to cut thru carbon fiber material fabrics I use in building and repairing a number of different things. They cut so smooth and straight. These blades slide so easily across one another, they almost feel like they aren't touching correctly to make any cuts. But when you actually cut something, it feels like there's nothing between the scissors. I hope this reviews helps to add to your decision. If you can afford the price tag, don't hesitate to make these part of your tool arsenal. You won't need any other replacements, if you can keep them from walking away and coming up missing. Keep these out of reach of anyone. You will surely lose them. If a friend were to let me use these, I would offer them money for them, even if they were used.

Excellent scissors. A great size for trimming and chipping. Very sharp. I’m slowly replacing my fingers with Kai scissors.

I have a pair of Kai shears, which are fantastic, but I needed a smaller pair of scissors that cut *to the tip* for those delicate (read anxiety-inducing) snips while sewing. Tiny embroidery scissors did not work because the blades aren’t close enough at the tip to allow a close snip. The blades just slide past each other and drag the fabric with them. Anyway, these scissors are the answer. They are smooth and (so far) cut all the way to the tip. No more worrying about accidentally cutting the seam.

I've been sewing for over 50 years, including teaching tailoring and heirloom sewing. After primarily using Ginghers for most of that time I tried a 7000 series Kai professional. I was so impressed that I promptly replaced all my shears and scissors for Kai. My Ginghers are now relegated to a box and never used. It is hard to go back to anything else after using a Kai. The Kai professional line handles far better than any other scissor or shear I've used. They are well balanced and have a perfect blade edge for "melting" through fabric. Each cut is smooth and fluid without any resistance. The extremely fine point of these embroidery scissors is very strong. I've not found any other embroidery pair that can rival these. I use them to remove compact stitches when a seam ripper is too large and a razor blade is too precarious. I have several pairs of Kai embroidery scissors and have never had a point bend or misalign. If you've been using Ginghers and want to graduate to a superior scissor try Kai professional 7000 series. I've now retired my Ginghers.

The 7000 series of scissors from Kai are as close to perfection as I can imagine. The quality is just so obvious the moment you see it and continues when you handle and use them. The design is spot on, the quality of the steel is very high, the buttery smoothness of the action is a pleasure and the sharpness is tops as well. This is the third size of the 7000 series that I've bought and each is a gem. These are one of those rare products that are very expensive compared to what you can pay for the same size, but when you see and use them, you feel they were without question, worth every penny.

This is my second pair of these, which I bought as a backup. High quality trimming scissors and I use them daily. My only complaint is that this pair didn't come with the protective hard plastic blade protector, which I did receive with the one I bought in 2020. I returned the first pair from late 2023 because it was missing the protector, but the replacement also did not have it. I contacted Kai to ask and they told me that when purchasing directly through the store, they add the blade sheath to protect it when shipping. They do not add it to Amazon. I think this should be updated in the listing.

The Kai 7150 Scissors are the best scissors I have ever used. I have been sewing for over 50 years and bought many different makes of scissors and these trimming scissors are the very best I have ever had. They are light and the cutting action is like nothing else. They are expensive but well worth the money. I intend to buy a larger size in the 7000 series, I understand these are the best in the Kai range. I wish I had discover this make years ago. I will never use anything else, I don't think I could find better.

Excellent scissors that cut right to the tip. Not cheap but you definitely get what you paid for.

Very disappointing. After 6 weeks the scissors don't cut anymore. I expected to use it a bit more considering the £50. Got back to my old Fiscars
