Works great, better performance and smoother. Not much needs to be said. It is a good value for the money. Easy to install, good factory fit and smooths out engine with better airflow. Installed this in a 2004 Honda CRV. Very Pleased.

Like some of the other reviewers have said, there's not much to say. It's a basic Fram air filter. Only difference is you'll probably pay less than the store, and assuming you buy the cabin filters as well, you'll qualify for free shipping.For the sake of being thorough, the filter I received looked exactly like the picture but orange filter material instead of light yellow. Metal mesh inside and out, black rings top and bottom. The box was in good shape and it didn't seem dusty or anything. Perfect fit on my Honda Element.This filter's fine and it'll get the job done, but I'll probably buy a K&N filter next time. I bought this filter instead this time since I was already buying a K&N filter for my other car and didn't want to spend over $100 on air filters. And if you're wondering whether the K&N filters are worth it, the answer is yes. But if you can't stomach paying $50-$60 for a lifetime filter, this Fram filter won't let you down.

I got one of these for my 2006 Honda CRV. As pictured there's metal mesh on the outside and inside filter material. The one I received only has mesh on the inside. I guess it is a design change. Not sure how it'll affect performance, if at all. Nice to get a filter for under $12 compared to dealer replace charge and labor. Look on youtube to see how easy it is to change the filter yourself and save some major bucks. Finally, I went 30k miles until I changed the filter per the owners manual. All I can say is I should've ignored the manual and changed it sooner...say 15 - 20k. The filter was a chunk of dirt. I'm going to change again in 15k.UPDATE: 4/19/2014Ordered another replacement filter today (yes, my 2006 CR-V going strong at 82k miles). Still same as when I originally reviewed...no mesh on outside. Wonder why Amazon has been incorrectly showing this filter with mesh on outside several years now? Still, when all said and done...mesh or not... beats dealer installation price doing it yourself.UPDATE: 10/22/2015Yet another filter replacement for my 2006 CR-V (97k miles). Latest shipment of this filter I received has metal mesh on the outside. Also, I see it is made in USA. The one it replaced without exterior metal mesh was made in China. Both Fram - both same CA9493 model. Filters work fine either mesh or no-mesh. As usual, after 12k- 15k miles the filter was visibly dirty enough to need replacing.

The one I got in came in looking a little oily I purchased these before and they never had oil so I’m not sure why it looks somewhat new not sure if someone tried it on but a great replacement for my air filter for my Honda CRV.
