DMC Stranded Cotton Shade Card

I was very happy when I received this shade card. You actually have real thread samples!It is very useful if you want to match exact colours. I would highly recommend this chart for anyone. It was hard to find a chart like this until now. I love this chart so much, that I am making a sampler with all the colours & numbers in it.It's a big project, & it will take me a while, but it's going to pay off at the end.

My granddaughter & I love this shade card. It is very handy when trying to match colors of floss not marked, picking out colors that go together well and finding out the number when you need more floss from a kit. Above all it is just pretty to look at for fun. It was rather expensive but it was worth it because it has so many samples. I find it more exacting to match unknown threads to the actual threads on the card than colors printed on cardboard as other shade cards.

Arrived quickly, considering it came all the way from Japan. This book is soooo useful, has the actual thread samples. Only several days after receiving this, though, I discover that dmc has a US commerce site called commonthread, and one can buy this there for half what I paid. Free shipping, even. Sigh.

It was perfect for the original colors. Now they 30+ new colors for 2017, so I will add them t to the card. This saves time and I can view colors in sunlight, shade, LED and other light so the colors will be true....

This is a must have for any cross stitcher, comes in handy when doing conversion. You can feel the strands. It doesn’t just show the colors.

Highly recommend having one of these especially if you order floss online (which I do). Perfect way to color match.

Such a handy tool for color matching, if you're having difficulty matching threads from another brand, or if you bought another brand and want to know the DMC equal. Really useful.

Excellent help while i redo all my cards. It helps as some have changed colour number

Wish I had bought one of these ages ok. perfect at identifying all the unmarked threads I seem to have accumulated. It's so easy to lose the paper number labels! Shade card arrived well wrapped and very promptly. Thank you.
